On 7th March, we gathered for our annual APS Staff Dedication Service, under the theme ‘Rooted in Grace’, drawn from Colossians 2:7: “Be rooted and built up in Him, be established in faith, and overflow with thanksgiving just as you were taught.”

It was a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and recommitment — grounded in the belief that all we do flows from the grace of God. As an organisation and as individuals, we once again placed our work and our hearts into His hands, to do all things in love and excellence for His glory.

We are grateful to Revd Ian Chew, Vicar of Church of the Ascension, for delivering the message with us during our Dedication Service. A heartfelt thank you to our leaders, board, and staff for making this day possible. May 2026 be a year where we grow deeper in Him, and bear fruit that lasts.

We love seeing our teams invest in each other. 🌿

The staff at LSP (TSA-BPJ) recently came together for a Professional Development Day at Pang Sua Pond, dedicated to setting goals, deepening partnerships, and reconnecting with the purpose behind their work.

One of the highlights was a windmill-making activity that brought a simple idea to life: a windmill cannot turn on its own — it needs the wind. In the same way, the best partners become that wind for one another through encouragement and support, especially when struggles arise or momentum slows.

They walked away with shared classroom goals, fresh perspectives, and a tagline that captured the spirit of the day: Their Goal. Ours. ✨

This is what it looks like when educators show up for each other, so they can show up fully for the children in their care.

What does it really mean to partner with parents? 🤝

At Anglican Preschool Services, we believe that trust with families is earned and built every day, through intentional practice.

Our Director of Academic Services, Eudora Tan, had the privilege of representing APS at the 2026 ECDA Townhall, where sector leaders came together to reflect on what meaningful parent partnerships look like in early childhood education.

The conversation reinforced something we hold dear: it is the quality of our relationships – grounded in empathy, professionalism and ethical practice – that defines the trust families place in us. Going beyond the drop-off and intentionally building relationships means creating platforms to connect with parents before problems arise, meeting them with understanding, and holding professional boundaries with care.

This relational work takes time and effort, but it pays off, and allows us to truly serve our children and their families well. 🌱

As a sector, we carry a significant responsibility, and are grateful for spaces like the ECDA Townhall that call us to reflect and grow. Thank you to ECDA and Melissa Goh-Karssen for facilitating such a thoughtful conversation.

Before the year comes to a close, take a moment to listen to a message from our current CEO, Sng Yee Kia, as she reflects on taking on this new role, shares her vision for APS, and offers a message as we move forward together. 🪁💞

As we close the year with deep gratitude, may we step into the new year with renewed purpose, strength, and a stronger sense of community. 💪🏻✨

It’s been almost a month since our former CEO, Andrew Tay, embarked on his next role and calling.

Before his departure, we had the opportunity to speak with him about the highlights of his time at APS, the accomplishments he cherished with the team, and his message to the APS community and to our current CEO, Sng Yee Kia.

🎥 Watch these interview snippets and hear him share his heartfelt experiences, reflections, and joys from his years of service and ministry.

We are deeply grateful for Andrew’s faithful leadership over the past five years and look forward with anticipation to all that lies ahead for APS.

From first smiles to letting go, every season of parenting brings its own blessings. We asked three parents from Anglican Preschool Services what it means to celebrate the children they love. Their stories will remind you that no matter how grown our children are, the heart remains the same: love, laughter, and moments that last forever.

Themed ‘Harvesting in Faith’, our teachers and staff gathered for this year’s Staff Retreat and Thanksgiving event — a time of joy, reflection, and renewal. 🌾

We are grateful for the opportunity to pause from our daily routines, to reconnect as one organisation, to give thanks, and to celebrate one another.

A special highlight was the recognition of our long-service award recipients, who have faithfully journeyed with us for more than five years. 🏆

Our senior leadership team also presented a drama titled *‘Seasons of a Sower’*, which beautifully traced the steps and milestones of an educator, in honour of our teachers for Teacher’s Day. 👩🏻‍🏫

We are deeply appreciative of the continued support from all our APS communities, which strengthens our mission to provide high-quality and meaningful education for our children.

With hearts full, we look ahead with anticipation to next year’s Staff Retreat and Thanksgiving event! 💗

This Teacher’s Day, we spoke with some of our teachers and staff who have served at APS for more than five years, to hear and honour their stories and testimonies.

Over the years, our educators have experienced countless moments—both joyous and challenging—that have shaped not only their own growth but also the lives of the children in their care.

As we celebrate their dedication, we also pause to reflect on our shared calling: to provide high-quality education, celebrate each child’s uniqueness, and continue nurturing them in ways that leave a lasting, positive impact throughout their lives.

Amid the growing secular interpretations of Easter, parents may find it challenging to explain the true meaning of Good Friday and Easter to their children. However, we can build on their excitement and curiosity to gently guide them towards what Easter is truly about.

In our recent article, Regina Sun, Assistant Manager of Pastoral Care at Anglican Preschool Services (APS), shares how she helped her own children understand the deeper truths of Easter.
