Big dreams start with meaningful experiences! 🌟

On 19 August, our P3 to P6 Higher Chinese students got an exclusive glimpse into the world of media through a special session with Mediacorp’s journalists and DJ.
From TV studios to radio booths — and even a spirited broadcasting challenge with the DJ involving our Chinese Language Ambassadors — it was an inspiring afternoon that may well spark the next generation of news presenters, journalists and DJs! 🎤🔥✨

Recently, our Primary 1 and Primary 2 students took part in a series of exciting Applied Learning Programme (ALP) S.T.E.M. workshops!

🌱 Primary 1 students explored hydroponics by creating their own hydroponic plant systems.

🚗💨 Primary 2 students discovered wind power by building and testing their own fan-powered wind cars!

Through hands-on experimentation and problem-solving, our students had fun exploring how science, technology and creativity come together to create innovative solutions. 🌟

🦟🔬 Science Comes Alive! 🌱✨

Our students had an exciting hands-on learning experience at the Project Wolbachia exhibition, where they observed live male adult mosquitoes, larvae, and pupae up close! 🦟🔍👀 The interactive exhibits sparked curiosity and excitement as students connected what they learnt in Science about the life cycle of animals 🔄🧪 to real-life applications. 🌏

Through this authentic learning experience, students discovered how understanding the mosquito’s life cycle enables scientists to develop effective and environmentally friendly ways to reduce mosquito populations and protect public health. 🌱💡

A big thank you🙏😊 to the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Project Wolbachia team for this engaging and inspiring learning experience! 🙌💚👏

Celebrating Our Young Scientists!

We are proud to celebrate Safiya, Julian and Jamie on successfully completing the Abbott Young Scientist Programme! 🏆

We were honoured to be invited to their award ceremony, where we had the opportunity to learn more about their fascinating research projects. A huge congratulations to our young scientists for their outstanding presentations! 👏✨

We hope this experience inspires them to stay curious, ask bold questions and continue exploring the wonders of science. 🌟🔬

A special shout-out to our wonderful student supporters and parents who made their way down to cheer on and support our budding young scientists! ❤️

Keep exploring, keep discovering, keep shining! 🚀

Our Primary 4 students recently embarked on a meaningful Museum Based Learning journey, visiting the National Gallery and completing a Soundscape Heritage Orienteering Trail along the Singapore River. Through art appreciation, critical thinking, and hands-on navigation, our young learners explored Singapore’s rich heritage beyond the classroom. We are proud of the curiosity and confidence they demonstrated throughout this experience!

We celebrated Singapore’s 61st National Day with plenty of energy and cheer, centred on this year’s theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” 🇸🇬

Our Observance Ceremony, led by our Boys’ Brigade, opened the celebrations with a sense of pride and occasion.

We also marked the 60th anniversary of our National Pledge, reflecting on the values we share and what they mean to us as Singaporeans.

The mood soon turned lively as students put their knowledge to the test in the “We Are Singaporeans” Gameshow! There were cheers, laughter and plenty of Singapore spirit all around.

In the lead-up to National Day, students imagined and built their own vision of Singapore through the “Build My SG” LEGO activity during recess. Our young musicians also took to the Rising Star stage at Arts@Recess, filling the school with familiar National Day favourites.

A wonderful celebration of home, community and the joy of being Singaporean.

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! 🇸🇬❤️
