💡 Instead of - "他很厉害,这样也有办法补救。。。" (wow he managed to resolve the problem...), your child can try saying - "他妙手回春,居然化解了危机!" (i.e. wow he managed to remedy the situation brilliantly...)
The ability to include proverbs or idioms when it comes to speaking in Mandarin has the same enhancing effect in English-speaking settings too. For example: instead of saying "let's stop work" - with an idiom, it sounds better with "let's call it a day, everyone's exhausted“.

💡 Instead of - "每个人都一样。。。" (everyone gets treated the same...), your child can try saying - "我一视同仁,不偏心!" (i.e. I subscribe to equality, no biases at all...)
The ability to include proverbs or idioms when it comes to speaking in Mandarin has the same enhancing effect in English-speaking settings too. For example: instead of saying "he got the biggest chunk" - with an idiom, it sounds better with "he got the lion's share“.
