🇯🇵 Little Daruma Friends | 日本幸运小伙伴

Our 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 journey begins in Japan with a Daruma-inspired craft.

Inspired by the iconic Daruma, a traditional Japanese doll known for its distinctive round shape and expressive face, students will transform messy balloons and layers of paper towels into their own colourful animal friends.

A special handmade gift this Father’s Day for the all-star dad.

Children will be creating a gift that doubles up as a pencil holder, complete with a fun surprise moving element. Thoughtfully inspired by Dad, from favourite hobbies and little everyday details to the things that make him, him.

A meaningful and functional keepsake for Dad’s desk, handmade with love ❤️

Craft starts this coming Tuesday, 2 June.

Fun fact: Around 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat exists thanks to pollinators like bees 🌼

Since we have been talking about Georgia O’Keeffe, the flower-loving artist in me decided to make a special appearance with my giant flower, to show our students how different mediums can be used for different components.

Some asked if it was real.
Some even tried smelling it. 😆

These are the priceless little moments I will always keep close to my heart.
