This is a story of a pair of spotted doves (Raw unedited images ahead)

Apr 2025: The young couple found a spot between our plants, threw some twigs in and called it home.

Dec 2025: After a hiatus, perhaps after several skillsfuture courses, they up-skilled their nest building and renovated their little home. Their appetite has evidently been improved as well.

Feb 2026: First egg was found! Though we were unsure if it was fertilised. Shortly after we realised.. they were twins!

Now: After a couple of tireless weeks brooding the eggs, we weren’t sure if it was going to hatch. Thankfully, the pair of new year babies pulled through🥹

Here’s a snapshot from our little guests’ visit! They explored our insect farm and made their very own vermicomposting kits 🪱✨

Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty and explore nature together — learning is always more fun up close!

We visited Chua Chu Kang Secondary to dive into the world of terrariums 🪴

Students made their own upcycled mini terrariums from scratch with their very own little isopods living inside 🐛🌟

At Changi Simei, we spent the day learning, sharing, and connecting.

Together, we explored vermicomposting, discovered how earthworms create nutrient-rich humus, and discussed simple ways to reduce food waste while nurturing our gardens. 🌱

With the help of our worms, everyday leftovers were transformed into nutrient-rich soil.
