Before committing to years of lessons, give your child a proper opportunity to begin. A child’s first experience with drums should reveal more than whether they enjoy making noise. It should help them discover what it feels like to follow a rhythm.

The Poppy Starter Drum Package was created as a structured introduction for young beginners. Over the first three months, children receive personal guidance from a teacher while having a suitable setup at home to revisit what they have learned between lessons.

This matters because progress does not happen during lesson time alone. Having the right equipment available at home allows children to build familiarity, practise with greater direction and gradually develop the confidence to play more independently.

For parents, it also provides a clearer way to observe whether drumming is an interest their child is ready to pursue, without having to assemble an unfamiliar collection of equipment or immediately commit to a long-term programme.

Did you enjoy this year's NDP parade? Students and teachers of Cristofori were celebrating NDP too by putting up a great recital this August 8! Good job to all teachers and students involved, it was a wonderful performance!
