So happy to share the success of RoboRoarZ Indonesia 2025 — proudly co-organised by Polibatam and SUTD, and generously supported by the James Dyson Foundation, Wefaa Robotics, and Pagelaran Teknovasi2025 🙌

Over two exciting days, young talents from across Indonesia came together to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and technical skills through a series of robotics challenges and hands-on learning activities. The energy, passion and innovation from all the participants were truly incredible — a powerful reminder of what our next generation is capable of 💡🤖

A very successful RoboRoarZ International 2024 robotics competition, sponsored by the James Dyson Foundation and co-organized by the SUTD Singapore University of Technology & Design, National Robotics Programme Singapore, Wefaa Robotics, IEEE Singapore Section, and IEEE Women in Engineering. This year’s event witnessed over 250 student participants from 28 institutions and 5 countries. Participants came from primary schools, secondary schools, ITEs, Junior Colleges, Polytechnics, and Universities.

RoboRoarZ is a design centred reconfigurable robotics competition that fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration among the participants. All participating teams used SUTD-designed Smorphi robots globally commercialized by Wefaa Robotics to solve a competitive lifestyle robotics challenge over 2 days involving a lot of design, coding and fun.

Our sincere thanks go to our sponsor the James Dyson Foundation and the co-organizing team from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), National Robotics Programme (NRP), Wefaa Robotics, IEEE Singapore Section, and IEEE Women in Engineering who shaped this event into a memorable one for our robotics community.

🌟Exciting update! Guangxi City Vocational University China joins Wefaa Robotics Global Community of Academic Institutions by adopting our Smorphi Robots!

Guangxi City Vocational University was founded in March 2005. Located at Nanning city, Guangxi province in China, it has more than 28,000 full-time students and 1,428 full-time faculty members. The university has 11 teaching units including the School of Intelligent Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Art Design and Cultural Media, School of Management, School of Business, School of Education, School of Health, International College, and School of Marxism. In the past three years, it has been rated as "Outstanding Unit for Employment and Entrepreneurship in General Colleges and Universities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region".

🌟Exciting update! University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka joins Wefaa Robotics Global Community of Academic Institutions by adopting our Smorphi Robots!

The University of Peradeniya is a public university in Sri Lanka, funded by the University Grants Commission. It is the largest university in Sri Lanka, which was originally established as the University of Ceylon in 1942. The University of Peradeniya hosts nine faculties, four postgraduate institutes, 20 centers and units, 73 departments. The university hosts over 12,500 undergraduates and around 8,500 postgraduate students in the fields of Medicine, Agriculture, Arts, Science, Engineering, Dental Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Management, and Allied Health Science.

🌟Exciting update! Northland Primary School joins the pioneering community of global academic institutions spearheading our One Robot Per Class initiative, opening new and exciting opportunities for pervasive STEM and design education using robots.

Northland Primary School was established in 1988 as a government co-educational school in Yishun, Singapore. The school is a frontrunner in STEM and design education with a vibrant and thriving student clubs, community, and programmes winning awards in national and international events. Since 2016, the Northland Primary School has been offering an Applied Learning Programme in Thinking Skills, which aims to teach students how to think critically, analytically, reflectively and creatively through a systematic and explicit approach.
