⚽🌸 Teachers’ Day 2026: Celebrating Our Champions! 🌸⚽

Our Teachers’ Day celebrations kicked off in style on 2 September with a Football Fever theme! 🎉 From footballers to coaches, our teachers enthusiastically embraced their roles, transforming Village Hotel Changi into a vibrant football arena filled with team spirit, laughter and camaraderie. A football-themed photobooth, games and a Lucky Draw added to the festive spirit!🏆

The excitement continued the following day, with our Peer Support Leaders leading engaging class-time activities before the celebrations moved to the hall. A heartfelt highlight was seeing our student leaders present thoughtful DSP-sponsored gifts to our teachers—a meaningful gesture of appreciation for the educators who inspire, guide and empower us every day. 💐

The celebrations were packed with fun, from lively teacher awards such as “Culture Cultivator” and “Boss Aura” to an exciting line-up of songs, quizzes and dance performances. 🎶📸✨

More than just a celebration, Teachers’ Day was a tribute to the passion, dedication and heart of our educators. To the incredible teachers of Dunman Secondary, thank you for being our coaches, mentors and champions! ❤️

Happy Teachers’ Day! 🌸⚽🏆

Humanities Day 2026: Unseen. Untold. Uncovered.

Dunman Secondary School celebrated Humanities Day on 6 August with the theme Unseen. Untold. Uncovered.

After months of preparation, our dedicated Humanities teachers brought Humanities Day to life with discovery, excitement and fun! From teachers dressing up as historical characters to interactive game booths, inquiry activities and a crime scene investigation that challenged students to think like detectives, students had the opportunity to experience Humanities beyond the classroom.

With our National Day celebrations around the corner, the atrium was buzzing with National Day songs, laughter and excitement. After enjoying the activities at the booths, students settled in for four movie screenings across different venues. And of course, no movie experience was complete without the aroma of freshly popped popcorn, thanks to our very own in-house Popcorn King, Mr Gabriel Sim!

A huge thank you to our Parent Support Group for their wonderful support, as well as the educators from other schools who visited and shared in the experience.

It was a celebration of exploring the unseen, discovering the untold, and uncovering the stories that shape our world.

🇸🇬❤️ **One Nation. One People. One Dunman.** ❤️🇸🇬

National Day is more than a celebration of Singapore's birthday—it's a reminder of the shared memories, values and dreams that bring us together as one community.

This morning, our Dunman family came together to commemorate our nation's 61st birthday with a meaningful blend of reflection, creativity and school spirit. 🇸🇬✨

The day began with a ceremonial parade featuring our Uniformed Groups and Concert Band, followed by class activities where students reflected on Singapore's journey, watched the National Day Message, engaged in conversations with their Form Teachers, and reaffirmed their commitment through the National Pledge.

The celebrations then continued with an exciting concert showcasing the incredible talents of our students:
🎺 Concert Band
🎸 Guitar Ensemble
🎤 Student Councillors & Peer Support Leaders
🎭 Stage Arts Drama
💃 Infini Sonar Dance

The programme culminated in a heartwarming community sing-along, bringing students and staff together in true National Day spirit—celebrating not just our nation, but the people who make our Dunman community so special.

A heartfelt thank you to every student leader, performer, teacher and staff member whose dedication behind the scenes made today's celebration possible. Your passion and teamwork made this a memorable occasion for all.

As we celebrate SG61, may we continue to cherish our diversity, strengthen our bonds, and play our part in building a brighter future together.

🇸🇬 **Happy National Day, Singapore! Majulah Singapura!** ❤️

🎸🎶 Sec 2 Music Showcase — GarageBand Edition!

Sweaty palms, racing hearts, and a whole lot of courage. Our Sec 2 students took the stage and absolutely owned it! 🎤✨

It has been quite the journey for these young musicians, from picking up Smart Instruments on GarageBand for the very first time, to learning how to layer sounds, find their rhythm, and piece everything together as a band. Watching them grow from curious beginners into confident performers has been such a joy!

And when the moment came to perform in front of the cohort, they brought everything they had, the hard work, the teamwork, and the music, and delivered some truly memorable renditions of their songs. 🎹🥁🎸

A huge shoutout to every student who poured their heart into this showcase. With collaboration and dedication, great things can happen. We're so proud of each and every one of you! 🙌

💙 An afternoon where hearts connected across generations. 💙

This afternoon, our 3F and 3G students welcomed residents from All Saints Home to Dunman Secondary for a meaningful Values in Action (VIA) session filled with conversations, games and plenty of laughter.

A special highlight this year was our collaboration with Denker Shooting. After learning the basics of laser rifle shooting, our students stepped into the role of instructors, patiently guiding the seniors through the activity with encouragement, care and plenty of cheers. 🎯

The afternoon was not without its challenges. From learning to manoeuvre wheelchairs to communicating in different mother tongues, many students found themselves searching for the right words. But they quickly discovered that kindness needs no perfect language. Through smiles, gestures, patience and genuine care, meaningful connections were built.

One of the most heartwarming moments came at the end of the session, when our emcees spontaneously led everyone in a singalong of The Moon Represents My Heart (月亮代表我的心). Before long, the room was filled with familiar melodies, laughter and heartfelt smiles that beautifully bridged generations. 🎶❤️

More than just a VIA session, it was an afternoon of compassion, connection and growth. We are incredibly proud of our students for living out the Dunman spirit, showing that the greatest lessons are often learnt beyond the classroom and that even the simplest acts of kindness can leave the deepest impact. 💙

From school grounds to community spaces, our Dunmanites are taking learning beyond the classroom and turning ideas into impact. 💙❤️✨

We are so proud of our Secondary 1 and Secondary 3 students for stepping up with heart, creativity and purpose as they brought sustainability learning to life for both our school and the wider community. 🌱

Earlier this year, they planned and hosted the Dunman × Esplanade Arts Sustainability Race for our Secondary 2 students, blending the arts, sustainability fun facts and teamwork into an exciting learning experience. 🎨♻️

They then took their passion even further with the Dunman × Our Tampines Hub Sustainability Eco Trail, where they welcomed members of the public and led them through OTH’s sustainability features through engaging, interactive activities. 🌍✨

On top of this, our students also volunteered their time to support the Queh event at OTH, showing that leadership is not just about leading from the front, but also serving with humility and heart.

Through every station, every interaction and every shared smile, our students reminded us what it means to be confident leaders, thoughtful collaborators and changemakers in action. 🌟

Proud of our Dunmanites for making a difference, one experience at a time. 💙❤️
