This Friday, 29 May 2026, Dunman Secondary School is ending Term 2 with a splash of colour, creativity, and connection ๐Ÿ’ฅโœจ

For one day only, students and teachers will be switching out their usual white school socks for fun, unique socks as part of our Sock Switch Up Day ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ

But this isnโ€™t just about funky socks.
Itโ€™s about noticing the people around us.
Itโ€™s about checking in on friends.
Itโ€™s about reminding one another that no one has to face challenges alone ๐Ÿ’š
Sometimes, the struggles people carry are invisible โ€” and a simple conversation, smile, or act of care can make all the difference. Through this shared experience, we hope to build a stronger, kinder, and more connected Dunman community ๐Ÿซถ

๐Ÿงฆ WHAT TO WEAR
โœ… Comfortable and practical socks for a normal school day (including PE!)
โœ… Mainly solid colours or simple patterns/designs

๐Ÿšซ NOT ALLOWED
โŒ Offensive or inappropriate words, slogans, graphics, or symbols
โŒ Political, social, or gender-related messaging
โŒ Excessively elaborate or attention-seeking designs

๐Ÿ’ก Letโ€™s keep Sock Switch Up Day fun and meaningful for everyone! Students whose socks do not meet the stated guidelines may be asked to change into a replacement pair provided by the school.

So get ready to step into school in style, spark conversations, and end the term on a bright note ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Letโ€™s switch up more than just our socks this Friday ๐Ÿ’ฅ

On 23 May, our Dunman Secondary Green Club students proudly collaborated with Green Action for Communities at the Tampines West Eco Fest 2026 โ™ป๏ธโœจ

Through student-led interactive booths, visitors explored how creativity and sustainability can come together in meaningful ways:

๐ŸŒธOur Bloom & Bookmark booth featured beautiful upcycled bookmarks crafted from old art book papers and pressed flowers
โœ๏ธOur Bad Sustainability Project booth featured the transformation of unused shuttlecock packaging into creative pencil holders

Visitors enthusiastically took part in the hands-on activities, and our students were heartened by the overwhelming support and positive responses from the community ๐Ÿ’š

We were also honoured to have the event graced by Minister for Social and Family Development and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Masagos Zulkifli, whose presence made the experience even more meaningful and memorable for our students.

A meaningful day of creativity, sustainability, community spirit, and student leadership โ€” showing how small actions and recycled materials can be transformed into something impactful and inspiring ๐ŸŒโœจ

From page to stage, learning comes alive ๐ŸŽญโœจ

On 7 and 8 May, our Secondary 2 students stepped beyond the classroom and into the world of theatre at the RELC Auditorium, watching the performances of Perfecting Pratas and Donโ€™t Know, Donโ€™t Care.

More than just spectators, they experienced storytelling in action โ€” deepening their understanding of characterisation, intention, motivation, and obstacles through live performance.

An enriching experience that brought texts to life and sparked a deeper appreciation for the art of drama.

Dunman Annual School Run 2026: Racing into a New Chapter ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธโœจ

This year marked a special milestone as we took our annual run to a brand new venueโ€”the vibrant Kallang precinct. With the iconic National Stadium and scenic Kallang Basin as our backdrop, our Dunmanites experienced a fresh energy in the heart of Singaporeโ€™s sporting hub.

๐ŸŒ† A New Route, A New Experience
More than just a change of scenery, the shift to Kallang gave students the opportunity to run in an environment that celebrates excellence and perseverance.

โฑ๏ธ 2.4km Challenge
With official timing in place, students pushed their limits, set personal benchmarks, and gave their best on the flat, fast route.

From the first stride to the final sprint, every step reflected determination, discipline, and school spirit ๐Ÿ’ช

As we close this chapter, this yearโ€™s run has truly set the bar for whatโ€™s to come.

๐Ÿ‘ Well done, Dunmanites โ€”letโ€™s keep the momentum going!

โ€œThe miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.โ€
