Rounding up our teachers’ lineup is Mrs Michelle Neo, a Senior Teacher in Social Studies who strives to help students measure their own learning through the use of success criteria, a pedagogical tool that makes tangible what it means to succeed in a task ✨🌟

The celebration of success is also a cornerstone in the fostering of a positive school spirit amongst our students, as we uplift and affirm each individual for the progress they make in both their academic and non-academic journey 🙌🏻

Pei Hwa Secondary School hosted Ambassador Sarah McGrath and her staff from the Embassy of Ireland for 'Conversations with the EU' on 22 July 2024! 🌏 The Ambassador engaged students on Singapore-EU and Singapore-Irish relations, and shared her thoughts about globalisation, digitisation of the economy, and sustainability. Students also discussed the importance of fostering cultural ties with friends from other countires, and given insights into working in the foreign service, as well as Irish influences that still remain in Singapore today! 🏛 Thank you Ambassador McGrath for visiting Pei Hwa 🌟 🔥

Our amazing primary 6 school students crushed it at the event, spending much effort in coding, creating, and collaborating on some incredible projects that tackled crafting Innovative solutions to tackle tomorrow's challenges!🔥

Our biggest appreciation goes to the primary school teachers and participants, Pei Hwa's student guides and our event supporters Selfflix, SUTD and Science centre! ✨

It was a big day for our Secondary 3 students as they received their NRIC! Many proudly held their new cards, marking a major milestone in their lives. They also had *a cohort discussion during CCE lesson* where they learnt more about their rights and responsibilities as citizens. Let’s see what receiving their NRICs means to some of them! 🇸🇬 (Swipe left for the interviews!)

Last Thursday, our Performing Arts Groups (PAGs) wowed us with their wonderful talents at PHiesta at the Republic Cultural Centre! 🎭🎶 We were treated to a dazzling spectacle of music, singing, drama and dance, as the PAGs collaborated to create a showcase of Excellence ✨️Thank you Pei Hwa-ians for your heart and hard work preparing for the performances! 🔥🙌

Throwback to our Inter-Class Games held for our dear secondary 4s during Student Development Week! 🏐 Our Pei Hwa-ians had lotsa great fun bonding with their peers and participated in class volleyball games. It was an absolute joy to see Pei Hwa-ians cheer, collaborate and work together to compete for their classes🌟 A special shoutout goes to the game officials (Teachers IC’s, Sec 5’s and Sec 4 Umpires) for your support in managing the tournament 🥰

Shoutout to our Table Tennis teams for their impressive performances at the National School Games! In their latest games before the holidays, our boys and girls teams displayed great resilience and teamwork to defeat Geylang Methodist Sec School. Keep the Pei Hwa flag flying high, team! 🏓💯
