Regular piano tuning is essential to maintain the integrity of the piano. Other than ensuring that the piano is tuned to the international standard pitch of A440, but it also allows technicians to be able to pick up on the environment wear-and-tear. During tuning, our technician will provide professional advice should they think that the positioning of the piano can be better, and/or if there is any minor issue that might deteriorate over time.

Did you know that the position of your piano will affect the piano's condition over time?

Placing the piano near to toilets, kitchens, right next to the windows or even beside ornaments that produces water will affect the humidity levels surrounding the piano. Even placing metallic items on the piano itself, might cause it to have a little buzzing sound due to the vibrations of the soundwaves during practice.

The serial number located at either the backboard or ironcast of your piano reveals information that you might not have noticed! Other than information such as the year of manufacturing, for piano manufacturers that have factories around the world, you will be able to locate the country of origin!

Unlike other piano, Zimmermann pianos have 2 serial numbers! The second serial number is to validate that the piano was checked by C.Bechstein professionals, ensuring that all Zimmermann pianos fulfil the stringent quality management criteria.

The weight of an upright piano is at least 200kg and is rather fragile. You might injure yourself should you try to shift the piano, and in the worst case scenario, the piano might topple over due to the misalignment of the center of gravity. In addition, the spare sparts with in the piano might shift as the shifting works are being carried out by yourself. Hence, leave the moving the professionals that will save yourself from injury and save the piano from damage!
