Don’t let a bad WA1 ruin your year. 🛡️
Body: If the first few tests of the year were a bit of a shock, don’t panic. But don’t ignore it either.
The March Holidays are the perfect “pit stop.”
We are running our signature Intensive Revision Bootcamp to help students: ✅ Patch up holes in Term 1 topics (Algebra/Mole Concept/Forces). ✅ Learn the specific answering techniques for upcoming SA1s. ✅ Regain confidence before Term 2 starts.
Slots are strictly limited to keep class sizes small.

We celebrate the climb, not just the summit. 🧗
Everyone loves posting the A1s. And we have plenty of those.
But today, we want to shout out a student who went from an F9 in his End-of-Year exams to a C6 in his first class test of 2026.
Is it a distinction yet? No. Is it a massive victory? Yes.
He stopped dreading Math. He stopped leaving questions blank. He started trying.
At Ace Academia, we build confidence first. The distinctions follow naturally.

WA1 is the “Silent Killer” of confidence. 📉
Term 1 topics always seem deceptively simple.
“It’s just inequalities.” “It’s just drawing atoms.”
But this is exactly where the “A1” students separate themselves from the “B3” students. It’s not about knowing the general formula; it’s about not falling into the conceptual traps set by the examiners.
We’ve compiled a Survival Kit for the 3 most common hazards in the upcoming Weighted Assessment 1.
Swipe left to see the pitfalls for Math, Chem, and Physics. 👈
If you lose marks on these foundation topics now, you will struggle when the heavy topics (Calculus, Stoichiometry, Dynamics) hit in Term 2.
💾 Save this post to review 10 minutes before your test. Need more than a cheat sheet? DM us to join our WA1 Prep Classes this weekend.

Enjoy the Ang Baos, but watch the calendar. 🗓️
February is the trickiest month of the academic year.
The festive mood of the Chinese New Year is amazing, but it often acts as a massive distraction right before the first major checkpoint: Weighted Assessment 1 (WA1).
We see it every year: Students “switch off” for the holiday week and return to school completely unprepared for their tests.
We aren’t saying don’t celebrate. We are saying the plan.
Enjoy the reunion dinner, but keep the engine running with a light revision during the break. A little bit of maintenance now prevents a breakdown later.

Don’t wait until the house is on fire to buy a fire extinguisher. 🔥
Every year, our phones blow up in May after Mid-Year exam results come back with F9s and E8s. Parents are panicked, and students are demoralized.
We can still help then, but it’s much harder.
January and February are the “Golden Time.” The pace in school is still manageable. It’s the perfect window to build a rock-solid foundation in new topics before the Weighted Assessments pile up.
Students who start strong in Term 1 rarely need “saving” in Term 3. Secure your child’s academic trajectory now, while the runway is clear.

Small wins lead to big distinctions. 🏆
It’s not even February yet, but our students are already feeling the difference.
We love getting DMs from parents saying, “My son came home happy today because he actually understood what the teacher was saying in school—Teacher Warren had already covered it.”
Confidence isn’t built overnight. It’s built through these small, weekly breakthroughs. When you understand the why behind the math or science, the fear disappears.
Don’t wait for WA1 results to start building confidence. Start now.
