To rally the community, especially youths, Jurong East NPC / Clementi Police Division organised a wall mural design competition, encouraging students to create impactful anti-shoplifting advisories that raise awareness and deter crime.
Congratulations to Tan Si Xuan Keslyn (4G4โ26) for achieving First Runner-Up and Emily Tan (4S7โ26) Second Runner-Up! ๐ The DAPC girls also came together to bring these ideas to life, working collaboratively to complete the wall murals and realise their shared vision.

A Tribute to Mr Lee Seck Chiang
Founding Conductor, Crescent Girlsโ School Symphonic Band
We mourn the passing of Mr Lee Seck Chiang on 3 April 2026, at the age of 95. A devoted band conductor, mentor and cherished member of the Crescent family, Mr Lee leaves behind a legacy that will long endure.
More than a teacher of music, Mr Lee was the founding father of the Crescent Girlsโ School Symphonic Band, which he established with just 35 students in 1967. With vision, determination and a deep love for his craft, he nurtured the band into a vibrant and enduring CCA. Through years of disciplined training and patient guidance, he shaped not only musicianship, but character. Even after his retirement, he continued to return seasonally to conduct the band, serving with unwavering dedication until the age of 93 in 2023.
When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in-person practices in 2020, Mr Lee readily embraced new technological tools to ensure that band members could continue to hone their craft while remaining connected to the band community. His willingness to adapt was a testament to his steadfast commitment to his students.
Generations of Crescentians remember Mr Lee as a firm yet deeply caring mentor who upheld the highest standards of discipline and excellence, always leading with heart. Under his guidance, band members learnt resilience and teamwork, developing immense pride for their craft. Many carried these lessons far beyond the band room, inspired by his example to serve, lead and give back to the Crescent community and beyond.
Mr Leeโs legacy lives on in every note played, every performance given and every life shaped through his teaching. The band he built remains a living testament to his dedication and passion.
As we give thanks for Mr Leeโs immense contributions, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May they find comfort in knowing that his lifeโs work touched and transformed generations, and that his influence will continue to resonate for generations to come.
Rest in peace, Mr Lee. Your music and legacy will always remain with us.
