Our Mother Tongue Fortnight came alive with the sights, sounds and traditions of Malay culture as our Primary 1 to Primary 6 pupils embarked on an exciting cultural journey! Enjoy the video capturing these previous moments! ✨

🎭 Lights, Shadows, Action!
Our Primary 1 and Primary 2 pupils stepped into the fascinating world of Wayang Kulit! Through traditional shadow puppetry, they discovered how colourful characters, creativity and storytelling come together to bring stories to life.

🎶 Feel the Beat!
Our Primary 3 and Primary 6 pupils experienced the energy and rhythm of Dikir Barat. Through music, movement and poetry, they learnt how teamwork and coordination are at the heart of this vibrant Malay performing art.

🥋 Strength, Grace & Discipline!
Our Primary 4 and Primary 5 pupils had an exciting introduction to Silat, discovering that this traditional Malay martial art is not just about movement and technique, but also discipline, focus and respect.

From the captivating shadows of Wayang Kulit 🎭 to the charming rhythms of Dikir Barat 🎶 and the graceful movements of Silat 🥋, our pupils learnt about Malay culture by seeing it, hearing it and experiencing it for themselves.
Through these meaningful experiences, our students deepened their appreciation of the Malay language and culture while developing curiosity and respect for the rich multicultural heritage that makes Singapore so special. 💛❤️💙💚

⚽ A Historic Milestone for Our Girls!

We are incredibly proud to announce that our combined girls football team from Ang Mo Kio Primary School and Jing Shan Primary School emerged as runners-up in Tier 2 Group A of the National Schools Games (NSG) Junior Girls Division Football Championship! What makes this achievement even more special is that this was our inaugural participation as a combined school football team — a truly historic moment for both schools. From the very first training session to the final whistle, our girls showed tremendous heart, determination, and sportsmanship that made everyone proud. 🏆

This wonderful journey would not have been possible without the meaningful collaboration between Ang Mo Kio Primary School and Jing Shan Primary School, and we are deeply grateful for the partnership that gave our girls this incredible opportunity. Seeing them grow in confidence, forge new friendships, and experience the joy of achievement together has been truly rewarding. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers, coaches, and everyone who supported and believed in these girls every step of the way. Here's to many more milestones ahead! 💪⚽

Play Inclusive Event on 1 August 2026 : More Than Just a Game

Four of our Football CCA boys — Mesa Dylan Ellis Requejo, Shah Diyan Ammanath, Chai Tiansheng and Sai Phone Myint Zaw@Jason — embarked on a meaningful journey through Play Inclusive 2026.

Their journey began with four training sessions alongside their friends from APSN Chaoyang School in Term 2 and Term 3, where they learnt to communicate, cooperate, encourage one another and play together as teammates. The experience culminated in the Play Inclusive 5v5 Football event on 1 August 2026, where they had the opportunity to put these lessons into practice.

Through the experience, our boys discovered that sport is not simply about skills, competition or winning. It can also be a powerful way of bringing people together, building friendships and learning to understand and support one another.

Their reflections captured this learning beautifully:
“I must go slow, be patient and also cheer them up so they can stay happy.”
“Even when others have disabilities, you can still make friends.”
“Helping others when they are in need is good.”
“It’s about having fun, not winning.”
Simple words, but important lessons.

Over the four training sessions and the Play Inclusive event, our boys grew not only as footballers and teammates, but also in empathy, patience and understanding of what it means to include everyone.
We are grateful for this meaningful opportunity to learn, play and grow together with our friends from APSN Chaoyang School.
