Fix your weight shift by learning how to move. No quick fixes, learn how to move.
1. One foot drill : get the feeling of what it’s like to have weight on your lead foot
2. Step drill : This helps you to learn the movement to the lead side as well as the timing of when you do it. Oh and you’re not going to move that left foot when you swing down.
3. Balance board : helps to sequence up everything in a normal stance -> shift, swing, shift, swing
4. Bonus : difficult to do but extremely effective! I love it but I also struggle with it!

Driving 4hours to KL to shoot a par on your 2nd hole (hole 11) not bad not bad!
Stay tuned to see how I’ll typically fix this weight transfer issues that a lot of beginners face!
If you don’t know by now, fixing your swing is challenging. Most of the time it’s not about quick fixes. For most of us, the movement pattern that we use to swing is ingrained in our brain that it’ll take time to change.
I use training aid to allow my students to be more intentional about what movement and what you’re feeling. Then we’ll build it up to a swing.
Fixing your swing is not magic. Asking you to hit down is not enough. My job is to help you learn to make the movements to allow you to hit down.
To answer the question in the video : obviously not. Just because you don’t get a good strike with the drills or training aid doesn’t mean it’s a bad drill or training aid. Your brain probably needs a few more tries to get the new movement.
So next time if you come to a lesson expecting a quick tip, remember that you’re wasting your money. Sure, I can give you tips but you’re paying me lots of money so why not let me teach me the movement to get you better as well.

Making a swing change?
Don’t just ask, “What do I need to fix?”
Ask: “What movement do I need to learn?”
Because sometimes changing your swing is not just about changing your grip, closing the face, or forcing a position.
Your current swing is a movement pattern your body has learned to repeat. So real change comes from awareness, a clearer movement solution and practice with feedback.
At first, it might feel weird. That doesn’t always mean it’s wrong. It might just mean your body is learning a new way to move.
Stop chasing positions. Start asking yourself what movement am I trying to learn in your next practice session!

Golf is a motor skill. You don’t just learn it by hearing instructions. You learn it by feeling, reacting, adjusting, and repeating. Sometimes, the fastest way to learn is by changing the environment. That’s why I use training aids, barriers, and simple constraints in my lessons.
Instead of telling a student:
“Don’t swing over the top.”
“Don’t scoop.”
I’d rather create a task where the body has to find a better solution. The aid is not there to make the swing look pretty. It’s there to give feedback. When the student gets clear feedback, they start to understand the movement without me over-coaching every body part.
That’s why the right training aid, used the right way, can be very helpful.
“Perfect lah, on the grass” stupid things my playing partners will say. Also ball flew too far already, no one expected it to cross 😂 🏌⛳️
Want to try swinging a golf club for the first time but don’t know how, here’s a quick help for your setup!
1. Stance - shoulder width apart
2. Posture - hinge your hips back, relax the knees
3. Grip - grip the club in the fingers, not the palm
4. Alignment - club points to target, everything else, parallel to it.

For the first-timer gang, don’t worry. I’ll start you off on the tee so that you can focus on the fundamentals that I teach you instead.
Golf is difficult. What I strive to do with my beginners is to always manage how they feel yet meeting the learning outcomes I set. So if you leave a session feeling motivated and want to get out there to practice on your own, that’s a win!
