“Ode to Singing” — Yu Chen's Solo Vocal Recital Resonates at Victoria Concert Hall 《致歌唱》——陈钰新加坡独唱音乐会圆满举行

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th anniversary, renowned Chinese soprano Dr. Yu Chen took the stage at Victoria Concert Hall on the evening of August 23, 2025, presenting “Ode to Singing”, a solo vocal recital that highlighted her vocal mastery while strengthening the cultural ties between Singapore and China.

Presented by Welearn Global Education Pte Ltd (Singapore) and co-organised by the Asian International Music Culture Promotion Association, with special support from True Transmission (Beijing) Culture Communication Co., Ltd, the concert featured an international lineup: tenor Dawei Su, pianist Mingru Xiao, soprano Yuhan Jin, tenor Zelin Sun, and baritone Xiangpeng Kong, offering a rich musical tapestry blending East and West.

With impeccable technique, emotional expressiveness and a gift for cross-cultural interpretation, Dr. Yu Chen captivated the audience with a carefully curated selection of Chinese and Western vocal classics. Her warm, resonant voice lit up the hall and stirred the hearts of all in attendance.

The concert was brought to life by a distinguished international team. Under the leadership of Producer Sichen Qu, the performance was shaped by Artistic Advisor Yang Feng Chen (Singapore), and Artistic Directors Yuqiang Dai (China) and Kim Jee Hyun (Korea). Liu Zhe, as the Organising Committee Chairman, ensured seamless coordination, while Johnson Lee, serving as Vice-Chairman and Programme Strategist, curated a flowing and emotionally charged concert experience.

“Ode to Singing” was more than a concert — it was a heartfelt offering of artistry and resonance, transcending borders. May tonight’s melodies shine as a radiant gem in the enduring cultural river shared by Singapore and China.
