It’s always humbling to reflect on our paths and to spark meaningful conversations about the realities of early childhood education. Each sharing reminds us why this work matters so much.

We are currently gathering participants for a focus group session organized by ECDA, as outlined in the dates on the poster. ECDA is eager to hear our insights and experiences on the following topics:

- Managing children’s routines as a male early childhood educator
- Challenges faced as a male in the early childhood field
- Navigating expectations from parents and female colleagues
- Ideas to support and expand the community of male early childhood educators

If you're interested and available to attend one of the sessions, please send us a direct message!

This focus group can count toward your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. Please seek approval from your leaders if necessary, and let us know if you require an official email from either Men in Preschools or ECDA.

Our goal is to gather 30 participants, with 15 for each session from Men in Preschools.

Tomorrow marks our fifth anniversary as a group. We began with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to improving conditions for both our male and female preschool teachers. We continued to contribute in meaningful ways, making a difference within our capacities as early childhood educators. Our persistent efforts caught the attention of the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), who provided us with opportunities to make a significant impact. Our organization is also aware of our work, and we are giving our utmost to advance the field of early childhood education. This milestone is a tremendous motivator for all of us to strive for even greater achievements. If you know any male preschool teachers, please introduce them to us and share our mission with them!

You may not be the best teacher in the world but know that you are the best teacher for your students 👩🏻‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫 Continue putting in the hard work on top of the heart work ❤️

Today, we had the privilege of attending a closed-door sharing session at ECDA, where we sent four of our members to represent us. We had a productive discussion, focusing on enhancing parent-teacher collaboration and engagement, strategies for retaining and recruiting early childhood educators, and elevating the professional image of early childhood educators. It was also a pleasure to meet new colleagues and build connections. Let’s continue advocating for early childhood education in Singapore in every way we can. Exciting things are coming! Can't wait for what is to come.
