Our little explorers welcomed the Year of the Rabbit by learning about the significance of Chinese New Year through a video presentation and also via the Prosperity Toss activity or famously known as āLo Hei.ā
They were introduced to the traditional Chinese costume, learnt about the different kinds of Chinese New Yearās snacks such as Love Letters and Pineapple Tarts and also learnt about the Lion Dance.
They showed alot of enthusiasm when tasked to prepare the āingredientsā for Yusheng and had even more fun during the toss. What better way to make the Chinese New Year celebration complete and more memorable for our little explorers? Giving them red packets of course!
We hope it is not too late to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. May the Year of the Rabbit brings you more success, happiness, good health and blessings.
Huat ah!

A of what our little explorers were up to last week. We had a learning journey to the Singapore Zoo. The objectives of this learning journey were to educate our little explorers about the different kinds of animals, promote empathy, foster cognitive development and to have a whale of a time.
Our little explorers were in touch with nature and were very excited and curious to find out more about the animals. They also took the tram rides and even manage to catch the amazing talents of the animals during the āSplash Safariā and āRainforest Fights Backā shows. It was really heartwarming to witness them taking care of one another during the whole trip.
They definitely enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Just look at all the happy faces in the photos! š

Our little explorers had an advance Deepavali celebration few days ago. They had so much fun dancing to Diwali songs and even tried the delicious Pani Puri that were prepared by our teachers. They learnt about henna drawing and were excited to choose the designs for their hands. We loved the colourful traditional outfits that our little explorers wore too.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Deepavali! May the festival of lights bring you lots of prosperity and happiness.

A of what our lovely little explorers did. They took on the challenge of learning the Malay language, specifically learning about numbers and animals.
Here were some of the things they learnt:
One = Satu
Two = Dua
Three = Tiga
Cow = Lembu
Cat = Kucing
Our little explorers did well and were really fast learners. They showed so much enthusiasm and were always eager to learn more.

The little explorers celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival earlier. They watched a video presentation about the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The little explorers participated in the lantern making and pomelo peeling activity. They also made play-dough mooncakes. Just look at how focused they were.
Fun Fact: Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as Mooncake Festival. The festival is associated with the moon and āmoon appreciationā parties as the moon is at its brightest during this time. Mooncakes have become the most popular food of the Mid-Autumn festival and it also symbolizes togetherness and completeness.
