What Benefits of including siblings in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder?
Siblings help shape experiences and learning opportunities in the family, which can encourage children with ASD to develop prosocial skills and experiences. Kids on the autism spectrum who have an older brother or sister demonstrated higher levels of social skills compared with kids on the autism spectrum who grew without a brother or sister. With awareness, acceptance, and the appropriate supports, children with ASD can reach their incredible potential.
