One of our favorite play experiences with the little ones will be sensory play. It engages their senses and also builds their language skills.
Sensory play is effective when it's in group settings, where the facilitator engages children with questions and encourages sharing of ideas (for 2yo and above).

Use any recycled materials for sensory board. Range them from soft to rough textures.
Our favorite one will be the pebbles. Other than colour contrast and textures, White pebbles are cooler compared to the grey.

Paper folding (origami) is a great visual spatial learning activities for toddlers.
* It helps them to improve their visualize, analyze and understand visual information around them.
* Paper folding activities help them to visualize and understand math concepts in the future.
* Folding activities help to improve their fine motor skills.
* It also helps their listening and reasoning skills through following steps and instructions.

DIY birthday cake using cardboard: National Day theme.
Steps:
1. Paint 2 cardboards with red and white acrylic paints.
2. Stack them together and glue with gluegun.
3. Print out one crescent moon and 5 stars, cut them and glue.
4. Print out 5 and 7 (We use digital print, instead of drawing them).

As for MBS and Art science museum construction, both are constructed with cardboards, then glue them using gluegun.

This was our then-10 months old cub had his first sensory experience at the beach. It was nothing like parenting books or social media, where kids seem to enjoy the experience.

Do not feel disheartened, as it's a very common response from babies, depending on their personalities. Instead, enjoy the process and laugh it out!

How do I start sensory activities at home with my baby?

Start with what we like to call "The box of wonder". Add varieties of materials with different textures and 'feel'. Encourage our babies to reach out to the box.

Baby D's first response to the texture was too adorable 😂 Keep encouraging, despite their hesitation, and they will get there.♥️

Explored the hidden gem with our cubs last school break at, Fort Siloso, Sentosa . We took cable car from Merlion Station, and alighted at Siloso Point. Walked to Fort Siloso and explored the historical sites. Great outdoor adventure idea during weekends or school holiday.

Easy DIY basketball game, it takes minutes to make but hours of fun! 🏀🏀

What you need
📦cardboard
🏓pingpong balls
📦double sided tape
🥛paper cups

1️⃣. Remove the bottom part of the cup and cut the side a little
2️⃣. Tape the cups vertically
3️⃣. Add numbers on the cups for score
4️⃣. Tape the cups on the cardboard
5️⃣. Basketball ready to play!
