A teacher’s impact is not always measured in grades, awards or applause. 🌟

It can be found in the student who walks into class feeling unseen, but leaves knowing that someone believes in them. 💙 It is in the patient re-explanation of a difficult concept, the thoughtful check-in after a tough day, the gentle encouragement to try once more, and the firm reminder that every choice matters.

At CCKSS, our teachers do far more than teach subjects. They nurture confidence in students who doubt themselves, spark curiosity in those discovering their strengths, and create safe spaces where young people can learn, make mistakes and grow. 🌱 They stay behind to guide a student, celebrate small wins that others may miss, listen when words are difficult to find, and continue to see potential — even when a student cannot yet see it in themselves.

The work of a teacher is demanding, often unseen, and deeply meaningful. Every carefully planned lesson, every conversation in the corridor, every encouraging note and every moment of patient guidance contributes to shaping not only academic journeys, but character, resilience and hope. ✨

This Teachers’ Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our CCKSS teachers. Thank you for giving so generously of your time, energy and heart. 🙏 Thank you for being mentors, role models and steady sources of encouragement. Most of all, thank you for believing in our students and helping them become the best versions of themselves. ❤️

🧋🔥 BUBBLE TEA TAKEOVER! 🔥🧋

Our After School Engagement students turned into BUBBLE TEA BOSSES as they set up their very own bubble tea stall and whipped up refreshing drinks for our teachers in celebration of Teachers’ Day! 💪😎

From preparing the ingredients and taking orders to mixing, shaking and serving each cup, our students put in the effort to make sure our teachers got a well-deserved treat. ❤️

But this was more than just bubble tea! It was a chance for our students to work together, take responsibility, learn new skills and experience the joy of doing something special for others.

And judging from the smiles (and empty cups!)… we think it was a BUBBLE-TEA-RIFIC SUCCESS! 🧋✨

A big shout-out to our After-School Engagement crew for bringing the energy, teamwork and good vibes! 🙌

🏑🏆 LEAGUE 2 CHAMPIONS! 🏆🏑

We are proud to announce that our C Division Boys’ Hockey Team has emerged as the League 2 Champions at the National School Games! In the finals, our boys rose to the challenge against the combined team from Northland Secondary School and St. Joseph’s Institution, showing tremendous grit, teamwork and determination to bring home the championship title.

After a hard-fought journey, our boys stepped onto the pitch ready to give their all. They showed courage under pressure, discipline in every play and, most importantly, the heart to keep fighting for one another until the very end.

This championship is more than a trophy. It reflects the many hours of training, the tired legs, the tough matches and the unwavering belief that every player had in the team. From the players on the pitch to those cheering from the sidelines, every member played a part in this incredible achievement.

Congratulations, boys, on becoming League 2 Champions! You have shown what can happen when a team stays united, works hard and refuses to give up. Thank you to our coaches, teachers, parents and supporters for standing behind the team throughout this journey.

You have made CCKSS immensely proud — enjoy this well-deserved victory, champions! 💙💛

It takes serious determination to battle all the way to the top four. ⚽💥

Our C Div Football Boys wrapped up their National School Games campaign as 3rd runners-up after a grueling, hard-fought match last Tuesday. Though it was a tough game, their heart and resilience shone through until the final whistle.

Thank you to the players, coaches, and supporters who cheered them on every step of the way. Heads up, boys—you've made us all proud! 👏

🌟 Building Knowledge, Making Connections at CCKSS! 🌟

CCKSS was delighted to host the Knowledge Building Networked Learning Community (NLC) event, bringing educators, specialists and students together to exchange ideas, explore possibilities and experience how learning can be made deeper, more connected and meaningful.

The session featured insightful presentations by our Lead Teacher, Mr Melvin Chan, and Mr Andy Ng, Teaching Fellow from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), who shared perspectives on Knowledge Building and how students can be empowered to develop ideas collaboratively and take greater ownership of their learning.

🎤 A highlight of the event was our Sec 3 CCKSiam presenters, who confidently took centre stage to showcase their Knowledge Building project, The Singapore Times, centred on the theme of transport. Participants also got a sneak peek at Historical Investigation projects from our Sec 2 CCKSians on Singapore's campaigns!

Rather than simply presenting information, our students brought participants on an engaging journey through transport from multiple perspectives. 🚆🚌🚲 They explored the psychology behind transportation choices, examined the profitability and economics of transport, considered issues surrounding transport safety, and presented a creative visual journey following a boy named Jayden as he navigated Singapore's transport landscape.

Participants got a unique hands-on demonstration on the issue of waste and the cleaning of the Singapore River, using sieves to scoop litter from a basin — a simple but memorable activity that brought historical and environmental learning to life.

👏 We are especially proud of our CCKSians for their articulate and confident presentations, their creativity in designing hands-on learning experiences, and their ability to examine one theme through different disciplines and perspectives.

The event was a wonderful reflection of what Knowledge Building can look like in action — students asking questions, connecting ideas, collaborating with one another and transforming knowledge into something they can confidently share with others.

At CCKSS, we believe that learning goes beyond finding the “right answer”. It is about nurturing curious minds who are willing to question, explore, connect and build new knowledge together.

A big thank you to our educators, student presenters and participants for making the Knowledge Building NLC a meaningful celebration of learning! 💡✨
