The Harmony in Diversity Gallery (HDG) was developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with community partners and organisations.

The Gallery aims to promote an appreciation of Singapore's rich religious diversity. It hopes this will foster a spirit of give and take, mutual respect and understanding, necessary to nurture and strengthen the religious peace and harmony we enjoy today. Coach bay for boarding and alighting:

HDG is delighted to support Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) in the launch of the Harmony Tour and Dialogue as part of our Together in Singapore initiative.

We were honoured to welcome our migrant brothers to learn more about Singapore’s journey in fostering social cohesion and religious harmony. Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, participants gained a deeper appreciation of how mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance of our differences help strengthen our unity.

Building and sustaining harmony is always a work in progress, requiring the commitment of every member of society. This initiative marks a meaningful milestone for learning, reflection, and dialogue, and reinforces our shared responsibility in nurturing Singapore’s multi-religious and multicultural harmony.

HDG was delighted to host undergraduate students from State Islamic University (UIN) Malang, Indonesia, as part of their study trip on “Mobility”.

Through a guided tour of our gallery and outdoor trail, the students explored Singapore’s journey in fostering religious harmony, social cohesion, and mutual understanding in our diverse society. Their enthusiasm, active participation, and thoughtful questions made the session both engaging and meaningful.

We are heartened by their appreciation of the values that underpin Singapore’s social fabric and hope the visit provided useful insights for their learning journey.

A special thank you to Mr Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib for facilitating and arranging this enriching visit. We wish the students all the best in their studies and future endeavours.

Today is Hari Raya Haji, a day when Muslims commemorate the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to God.
On this day, Muslims are reminded of the prophet’s exemplary act of obedience to God through the ritual of korban, which involves the sacrificial offering of livestock. Hari Raya Haji also marks the end of haj (the annual pilgrimage to Mecca) which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
Salam Aidil Adha from all of us at the Harmony in Diversity Gallery!

For 12 days every year, Bahá'ís celebrate the period in 1863 when their founder, Bahá'u'lláh, resided in a garden in Baghdad and declared his mission as the Messenger of God. Known as the Festival of Ridván, this event is considered the most holy festival of the Bahá'í Faith.
To all our Bahá'í friends – here’s wishing you a joyous Ridván celebration!

Through the tour, the RSAF Air Defenders gained deeper insights into the importance of religious harmony in Singapore—understanding that it is always a work in progress, and one that requires each of us to play our part in safeguarding this shared legacy.

Beyond the learning journey, it was also a meaningful day of bonding, as the servicemen and women connected with one another through shared experiences and reflections. As we celebrate our diversity, we continue to strengthen our unity, and uphold the peace and social cohesion we cherish as a nation. 🇸🇬

Vaisakhi is a significant day for Sikhs as it not only marks the New Year, but also when Sikhism was born as a collective faith in 1699. It also commemorates the setting up of the Khalsa Brotherhood, its code of conduct and the Sikh way of life.
Here’s wishing all our Sikh friends a very happy New Year; may today be filled with joy and fresh beginnings!

HDG was pleased to host a visit arranged by Dr. Mustafa Izzuddin for his undergraduate students from NUS College, who are studying Heterogeneous Indians of Contemporary Singapore.

The session was both interesting and enriching, as students explored the gallery and engaged in a meaningful dialogue with IRO Council Members and representative. These conversations offered valuable perspectives on diversity, shared spaces, and the importance of understanding across communities.

An exceptional learning journey that deepens appreciation for our multicultural society and strengthens our collective commitment to harmony.
