Today marks the beginning of the biggest Jain festival of the year. Paryushan Mahaparva is an eight to 10 day period of self-reflection and repentance for the actions of the past year. The Jain festival is about reflecting on one’s thoughts, words and actions and asking for forgiveness for acts that have harmed other beings.
We wish all our Jain friends a blessed and reflective Paryushan in the days ahead.

We were pleased to welcome Muslim youth leaders who attended the “Da’wah” First Responder Workshop, organised by MCAS, to the Harmony in Diversity Gallery.

The visit provided an opportunity for them to learn about Singapore’s efforts in promoting religious harmony and the importance of embracing our differences, while creating common spaces for meaningful interactions.

Through greater mutual respect, understanding and open dialogue, we can continue to strengthen our social cohesion and build a more harmonious society — together. 🤝✨

HDG was honoured to welcome Assistant Permanent Secretary Ms Marinee Suwanmoli from Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who led a delegation of university students from Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces on a visit to Singapore.

We are delighted to have been chosen as part of their learning journey to gain a deeper understanding of Singapore’s approach to fostering harmonious coexistence in our multicultural and multi-religious society.

Many Faiths, One People

OnePeople.sg Model United Nations (OPMUN) Project Team 2026 came together at Harmony in Diversity Gallery for a meaningful learning journey in commemoration of Racial Harmony Day 2026.

The youth leaders were eager to explore Singapore’s multicultural and multi-religious landscape through an engaging and interactive experience. The dialogue that followed was insightful, lively and inspiring, with thoughtful discussions on how to involve more youths in building greater understanding, mutual respect and social cohesion.

We were delighted to welcome migrant brothers from NESST Singapore Ltd, with the support of Temasek Foundation, to the Harmony in Diversity Gallery for an immersive guided tour, followed by an inspiring dialogue with Roses of Peace.

The conversations were heartfelt and enriching as we exchanged perspectives, reflected on shared challenges, and explored the importance of creating common spaces where mutual acceptance, respect and understanding can flourish.

We are deeply encouraged by their appreciation of the Gallery experience and their commitment to championing social cohesion beyond race, faith and country of origin.

Racial Harmony Month reminds us that social cohesion is not only about race, but also about fostering understanding and respect among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
Members of Harmony Circle from Potong Pasir came together at the Harmony in Diversity Gallery to learn, bond and share reflections on the importance of peace and harmony in Singapore.
Through meaningful tour and shared experiences, we were reminded that harmony is a continuous work in progress — one that requires mutual respect, understanding and collective effort.

HDG is delighted to support Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) in the launch of the Harmony Tour and Dialogue as part of our Together in Singapore initiative.

We were honoured to welcome our migrant brothers to learn more about Singapore’s journey in fostering social cohesion and religious harmony. Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, participants gained a deeper appreciation of how mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance of our differences help strengthen our unity.

Building and sustaining harmony is always a work in progress, requiring the commitment of every member of society. This initiative marks a meaningful milestone for learning, reflection, and dialogue, and reinforces our shared responsibility in nurturing Singapore’s multi-religious and multicultural harmony.

HDG was delighted to host undergraduate students from State Islamic University (UIN) Malang, Indonesia, as part of their study trip on “Mobility”.

Through a guided tour of our gallery and outdoor trail, the students explored Singapore’s journey in fostering religious harmony, social cohesion, and mutual understanding in our diverse society. Their enthusiasm, active participation, and thoughtful questions made the session both engaging and meaningful.

We are heartened by their appreciation of the values that underpin Singapore’s social fabric and hope the visit provided useful insights for their learning journey.

A special thank you to Mr Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib for facilitating and arranging this enriching visit. We wish the students all the best in their studies and future endeavours.

Today is Hari Raya Haji, a day when Muslims commemorate the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to God.
On this day, Muslims are reminded of the prophet’s exemplary act of obedience to God through the ritual of korban, which involves the sacrificial offering of livestock. Hari Raya Haji also marks the end of haj (the annual pilgrimage to Mecca) which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
