The Research Centre conducted an interview with Mr. Ng Eng Quee, music director of the Nam Hwa Teochew Music Ensemble, regarding the transmission of Teochew music in Singapore. Through Mr. Ng's personal experiences, we can observe the development and current state of traditional Chinese music in Singapore.

Yeo Khee Lim Teochew Culture Research Centre houses the Chaozhou Documents published by the Taipei Teochew Association.

In 1976, Chaozhou Documents carried an article questioning the personal integrity of Han Yu, which stirred public controversy and led to a lawsuit filed by Han Yu’s descendants—known as the “Defamation of Han Case.”

To better understand this figure, who holds great significance for many Teochew people, the Research Centre has launched a three-day special series exploring Han Yu and Teochew. Stay tuned.
