Last Saturday, Clem Guo from Sydney and Truc from Vietnam visited our dojo for keiko!!! Unfortunately, we could not host them better as we are overseas for Kendo...

From the 20th to 25th April, 9 members from our dojo plus our honorary member from South Africa, Brendan, did a 6 day 5 night camp at Osaka University of Health and Sports Science! 9 keiko over 6 days!

Thank you to Kanzaki sensei, Satoko sensei, Murakami sensei, Tsutsui sensei and Izaki sensei for coordinating and letting us train at their university while the students prepare for shiai.

We really enjoyed the instructional keiko, shiai practice and lots and lots of kihon and kakarigeiko and we had a blast of our lives training with the students!

We are truly grateful to everyone who hosted us and we were able to meet with Zago sensei and Giorgio from Italy and Michel sensei from France!

Shoutout to Liu Qian sensei for coming to meet with us at the asageiko!!

Thank you OUHS! hopefully we can return the gratitude back in Singapore one day!

Today, we also did keiko at 春風館 with ! We had a great practice with the senseis of the dojo with the senseis preparing for grading, we had a good jigeiko session with the senseis!

Thank you everyone! The journey continues in Kyoto for some of us who are still in Japan!

ARIGATOGOZAIMASH*TA!!!

Our dojo sent a team to the Hong Kong Championships last weekend for the first time representing our dojo.

Results :
Charles : 0-2 Dan Category 2nd Place
Gabriel : 0-2 Dan Category Fighting Spirit
Oliver : 5 Dan and above 2nd Place

Daphne sensei also participated as a shinpan in preparation for AOKC.

It was a great time for a group of 5 guys enjoying Kendo and food together for a weekend! There were many takebacks this trip and we will continue to train harder for the next tournament!

On Sunday we had a guest from Northern California! From HSSK dojo, Kane, a fellow nito user came to join us at our humble abode ☺️

Day 2 of the seminar was a success too!! Thank you everyone who participated and supported the event in every way. The continuous support for the seminar is a great driver for future years to come.

Thank you .park.1978 sensei and sensei for always taking time off their work to come and teach us for 4 days and enjoying time together. Kendo that transcends countries and culture and sharing Kendo with the mind to only help us grow for the last 4 years is the magic of Kendo.

Big shoutout to Oh Jae Hyun sensei, and Peter Jeong sensei for joining us! Without Olla and Peter who helped as translators, the most important role, the seminar would never be possible.

Looking forward to the growth of Singapore Kendo, a little by little, in our own way. See you all next year!

Day 1 & 2 of Park and Lee sensei visit!!! .park.1978


We had keiko at our dojo after they landed in Singapore, together with Oh Jae Hyun sensei from Vietnam!!

Today, we had a hard day at work during the first day of the seminar, with guests from Vietnam and Malaysia! sensei joins us from KL!

We were also graced by the national team coaches, Eguchi sensei and Amagata sensei who came to the seminar in the morning.

Everyone had a great time and exhausted today (senseis are very exhausted 🤣) and looking forward to day 2 tomorrow!!!

Thank you Riki for visiting our dojo last night!!! We had so much fun and to see his nice strong Kendo! Riki was the former captain of Toin Yokohama University and came to Singapore earlier than the rest to experience local culture while doing Kendo.

Local culture included trying out the spiciest and most delicious burger at Mcdonald's 🤣🤣

Last night, we welcomed Hayasaka san from Bogu shop Ippondo in Yokosuka .ipnd and Minemori san from Bantou Budogu in Yokohama to our dojo!! Accompanied by and !! Special guest friend Masuo san visited us as well from Queensland and coming back for a short visit in Singapore after 3 years!

Hayasaka san came this time to share with us his Kendo merchandise and did a mini shop yesterday at our dojo!

We had alot of fun and sweat and good local food 😊 See you all again in Singapore or Japan or Australia!
