Zhonghua Primary School This is the official Zhonghua Primary FB Page. It was developed into a full school in 1951. It became a government-aided school in 1957.

Ignite Passion for Learning – “for if a pupil’s mind is set on fire, he will strive to find a way to provide the fuel” and the zeal for learning will continue to burn throughout his life. A quote from journalist Sydney J Harris that best exemplifies our mission here at Zhonghua Primary School, a mission that continues to inspire all of us to do our best to help our children enjoy “Learning for Li

fe”. Zhonghua Primary School was founded by a Chinese clan association in 1911 to provide a basic education for the children of the Chinese community. The primary school site was at Niven Road and the secondary school site was at Bartley Road with the new name "Chung Hwa Girls' High School". In 1980, Chung Hua Girls' Primary School at Niven Road was closed down due to high parental demand for English-medium schools. However, Chung Hwa Girls' High School (secondary school section) accepted its first intake of English-medium pupils. In 1987, Zhonghua Primary School reopened her doors at Serangoon Avenue 4. Beyond a school that is equipped with all modern facilities, Zhonghua Primary School has remained true to its mission in nurturing future ready learners, with a passion for learning and strength of character.

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! 🇸🇬

The hall at Zhonghua Primary School was filled with red and white as we celebrated National Day!

Rallying behind this year’s theme, “Majulah Singapura — Go Beyond!”, our students reminded us that going beyond means striving to do better for our country and uplifting one another. The highlight? Hearing our young Zhonghuarians sing with pure joy, passion, and unity! 🎶❤️

May their voices inspire us all to care more deeply, support one another, and build a brighter future together. 🎂✨

✨ Our Primary 2 students had a sweet, enriching and delicious learning experience in line with the EL Stellar Unit on Roti Prata!

After watching a live demonstration by their teachers, the students engaged in a hands-on activity to create their very own sweet wraps. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Students observed and documented every step of the process, beautifully applying what they have learned in class about sequencing and instructions to a real-world context.

Guided by their teacher in the class writing, they put their new knowledge into practice by writing procedural texts for their very own unique recipes! 😋

The students even had a chance to reflect on and share their experiences with one another.

It was truly a wonderful experience for our learners.

The wait is officially over! The incredible creations from Thinknovate Home Challenge #2 were showcased 🚀✨

Our brilliant young innovators were challenged to build a fully functional foosball machine using recyclable materials and their own imagination. As a Learner, Thinker and Leader, their problem-solving skills and creativity have completely blown us away! 🛠️📦
