As part of 2026, PLVPS partnered with Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre on 20 May 2026 to organise “Milo with Cops”, a meaningful engagement session held during students’ recess time. Our students had the opportunity to interact with police officers through this initiative, which was inspired by the community programme “Coffee with Cops”. The school was also honoured to welcome Commanding Officer Supt Rane Chua, who engaged warmly with students and encouraged them to play an active role in keeping the community safe.
Through friendly conversations and interactive sharing, the police officers spoke to students about four common youth offences: shop theft, theft of bicycles, online scams and vandalism. Students learnt how these situations can happen in everyday life, the impact of such actions on others, and the simple but important steps they can take to prevent them. Students also had the chance to ask questions about careers in the Singapore Police Force, gaining a better understanding of the important role police officers play in serving the community.
The session also reinforced the importance of being an Upstander — someone who makes good choices, speaks up when something is not right, and helps to In support of these efforts, our school introduced the SafeGuard Framework under the “Kids on Patrol” initiative to nurture more upstanders in our community. This collaborative effort involved teachers from the Student Management and ICT Departments, together with our Hon. VSC officers, Mr Jeremy Ang and Mr Teng Tse Peng.
Our school also commemorated Drug Victims Remembrance Day on 21 May 2026 through the anti-drug abuse campaign themed “Stories, Unfinished”, reminding students of the importance of caring for others and seeking help early. Each of us can do our part to be a Force for Good in the school and community!

Palm View Primary held its Earth Day Science Fair on 21-22 April 2026, centred around the theme, “Rethink Textile Waste, One Outfit At A Time”. The fair showcased student-led projects on Science and environmental conservation.
At the fair, our students educated their peers about textile waste. Reused fabrics were then upcycled to make small pouches. Our Robotics CCA students also designed Scratch games and built arcade-style cardboard structures to house the laptops. At the Swap and Share corner, students exchanged plastic bottles or containers for donated pre-loved clothing.
Our students also enjoyed folding paper aeroplanes and flying them through hoops, adding a fun hands-on element to the event. Through the fair, students gained a deeper understanding of textile waste and the importance of making more sustainable choices!
