Studio Haroobee School of Visual Art 6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-11/12 S039594 Studio Haroobee encourages self-expression and creativity through courses for kids as young as four to adult.

Classes range from Young Artist Programme, Cartoon, Manga for teens and kids, Chinese ink painting/calligraphy and Secondary Art. Teachers in Studio Haroobee are experienced in nurturing young children and helping them express themselves through visual art. Classes are kept small at a one-to-four teacher-students ratio for personalized coaching. Studio Haroobee encourages and prepares students to

participate in competitions and exhibitions with student’s works being regularly exhibited in various schools and joint art exhibitions. Some students have even won prestigious awards from Google Doodle, UOB Painting of the Year and Singapore Art Museum. Studio Haroobee provides a conducive environment to nurture student’s artistic expression and creativity. A variety of art workshops are available during the school holidays period. Studio Haroobee has even conducted classes and workshops for various schools and companies. Studio Haroobee at Esplanade aims to be the catalyst for developing and creating an artistic hub for the west zone.

There is something quietly meaningful about seeing former Haroobee students and teachers continue their artistic journeys across different parts of the world. WHEN THINGS FLOW SOFTLY brings together Karrisan Chua, once a Haroobee student who later returned as a project-based part-time teacher, and Daisy Toh, who taught with Haroobee between her years at SOTA and university.

Today, Karrisan develops her practice from London while Daisy works from Tainan, each shaping distinct ceramic languages influenced by the places they now call home. Their works reflect not only artistic growth, but also the evolving paths of young Singapore artists building practices beyond Singapore.

Presented by Mulan Gallery, the exhibition also includes two artist talks exploring overseas studio life, creative transitions, and how different cultures and environments continue to shape their work. Both artists are graduates of School of the Arts Singapore.
