SPS–SAC HEART Associates Onboarding Ceremony

SAC was delighted to be part of the SPS–SAC HEART Associates Onboarding Ceremony on 17 November 2025 at the Ministry of Home Affairs Headquarters. The event brought together HEART Associates, MHA representatives, and professional associations committed to strengthening Singapore’s psychological resilience and crisis readiness.

The evening opened with dinner and networking, followed by remarks from Mr Adrian Toh (SPS President), Ms Jenny Giam (SAC 1st Vice President), and Ms Diong Siew Maan (Director, HTPD).

Attendees gained key updates on the Singapore Threat Landscape and the SGSecure movement from MHA speakers, and learned more about the roles and responsibilities of HEART Associates.

A dialogue session with Dr Majeed Khader, Ms Jenny Giam, Mr Adrian Toh, and Ms Diong Siew Maan provided valuable guidance and perspectives.

The highlight of the night was the presentation of appointment certificates to HEART Associates, with SAC’s certificates presented by Ms Jenny Giam and SPS’s certificates by Mr Adrian Toh. Our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for their commitment to this meaningful initiative.

The evening wrapped up with group photos, marking a successful close to the event.

SAC at Lions Befrienders Symposium 2025

We were delighted to be part of the Lions Befrienders Symposium 2025 held 3 October 2025 at the Lifelong Learning Institute.

SAC was glad to connect with attendees who visited our booth, and was privileged to have Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower, showing his support by penning "Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies" at our pledge board. In Dr Koh's opening speech, he highlighted the Ministry of Health’s efforts with partners to ensure mental health care is delivered with high-quality, is affordable, and accessible, with strong community support.

Besides participating in the launch of Lions Befrienders Digital Counselling, our president Mr Andy Lam also delivered a presentation on "The Role of Counselling: Restoring Meaning, Reclaiming Dignity".

Our heartfelt congratulations to Lions Befrienders for this impactful event. Together, we can build a caring, compassionate, and inclusive society.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Discover Community Mental Health event on 30 September 2025 at the MND Annexe A Auditorium.

Co-organised by Agency for Integrated Care - AIC Singapore and Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), the event brought together professionals and community partners dedicated to advancing mental well-being in Singapore.

Participants benefited from first-hand sharing by representatives from Montfort Care and SHINE Children and Youth Services, who provided insights on their roles in strengthening the Community Mental Health landscape. The session also featured a panel dialogue and Q&A session, that deepened understanding of community mental health.

Our outreach booth, which highlighted SAC’s membership benefits, activities, and initiatives, provided both members and non-members with an engaging opportunity to learn more about the Association.

Our sincere thanks to AIC for their partnership and to all who visited the event and our booth. Together, we remain committed to building a compassionate and resilient mental health ecosystem.
