Peek into a P4 composition workshop at Punggol Tutor 📝
This week's focus: turning flat sentences into scenes. Our students built a personal "phrase bank," peer-marked each other's story openings, and workshopped lines like "the shock robbed him of speech" instead of "he was shocked."
Small class sizes (capped at 10) mean every child gets their paragraph read, marked, and improved — not just graded.

Learning is always more meaningful when students are actively involved!
Our P2 Maths students had a fun mini telematch where they worked in teams, moved around, discussed their answers, and challenged one another to solve Maths questions quickly and accurately.
It was great to see them enjoying the lesson while building confidence in answering the questions.
Here's one of the questions. Did you get it right? ☺️
A little surprise for our students this Youth Day 💙
Sometimes, it is the small gestures that remind our students that they are seen, appreciated and celebrated.
To every student who walks through our doors, Happy Youth Day from all of us at Punggol Tutor! 🌟

Every parent hopes to see their child grow a little more confident each day.
In Term 3, progress is not only about getting every answer right. It is about building the courage to keep trying, asking questions when unsure, closing learning gaps, and staying consistent even when the work gets harder.
At Punggol Tutor, we provide a supportive learning environment where students are guided to build strong habits, strengthen their foundations, and prepare with greater confidence for the final stretch of the year.
This Term 3, let’s make every lesson count.

The mistake is hiding in plain sight.
Did you catch it?
🥵 Why does Singapore feel so hot lately?
A strong El Niño may bring hotter and drier conditions to our region. But the reason we feel so uncomfortable comes down to a Primary Science concept: evaporation!
When sweat evaporates, it cools our body. However, Singapore's high humidity makes evaporation slower, making the weather feel much hotter than it actually is.
After Ethan attended our P5 Science class, we checked in with his parent to find out how he felt about the lesson.
His feedback?
He enjoyed the class.
He found the teacher friendly.
He felt that the pace was good.
Most importantly, he felt that he could cope well.
For many Primary 5 students, Science can start to feel more demanding. The topics become more detailed, the questions require more explanation, and students need to learn how to answer with the right key words and concepts.
That is why we focus on making every lesson clear, structured, and manageable.
At Punggol Tutor, our P5 Science classes are designed to help students:
✅ Understand concepts step by step
✅ Learn how to answer open-ended questions clearly
✅ Build confidence before assessments
✅ Receive guidance in a small class setting
✅ Learn at a pace that supports understanding
A good class is not just about covering content. It is about helping students feel supported enough to learn, ask questions, and improve.
If your child is in Primary 5 and needs stronger support in Science, our classes are open for enrolment.

Many students use ashamed and embarrassed as if they mean the same thing, but they are slightly different.
✔ Ashamed = you feel sorry for doing something wrong
✔ Embarrassed = you feel uncomfortable because others may notice something awkward
Understanding small differences like this helps students improve their vocabulary, comprehension, and writing accuracy.
At Punggol Tutor, we focus on helping students build strong language foundations—not just memorising answers, but truly understanding how English works.
Small corrections today lead to stronger results tomorrow.

“Is this acid or alkali?”
Not a guess — our students test it themselves.
In our Sec 2 Science class, students explored pH values through hands-on experiments — using indicators, observing colour changes, and linking results directly to concepts.
Instead of memorising:
➡️ They tested real samples
➡️ They compared results with the pH scale
➡️ They discussed why substances behave as acids or alkalis
This is how we teach Science at Punggol Tutor.
Not just worksheets.
Not just answering questions.
We make Science visible, practical, and meaningful — so students truly understand, not just “study for the test”.
💡 When students see and do, they remember better.
💡 When concepts are clear, answering exam questions becomes easier.
If your child finds Science abstract or confusing, this is exactly what they need.
Limited slots available for Sec 2 Science.
