Teacher Ping School of Music

This boy is currently serving his National Service, but before he went to serve his country, he asked his mom if he could learn the violin.

Mom was surprised with his request as this was a boy who loved soccer, and was a very active sportsman. She gladly signed him up for a trial session with Teacher Hui Xin, and he began his music journey at the violin in his teens.

Thanks to Hui Xin, he gets to learn a new skill, coordinating his body, emotion and mind to create beautiful music. (Ok. Maybe a few scratches here and there, but its beautiful for a beginner student)

Teacher Hui Xin is opening a class at our Citygate@Beach Road location on Sunday 9:30am to 10am, starting from July 2026. The class will be a small group size of 2 to 3. It's not a class for teens but she will be happy to work with any kid from 4 years + to 7 years old.

From shy little faces to chatty, curious music explorers, what a journey it’s been! ❤️

We started with parent-accompanied classes, and along the way parents gently gave their children a little push toward independence. That extra space worked wonders — kids gained confidence, parents enjoyed a short chill break ☕, and the teacher worked hard to keep up with all that BIG energy! 😄

With that freedom, their real personalities truly shined. More confidence, more independence, and definitely more chatter — all while exploring music with joy and curiosity.

So proud of every little graduate. This is just the beginning of their musical adventure! 🎵✨

We are a group of music teachers who love what we do for a living. Coz its FUN!

We like working with children and grown-ups. We like that our combined years of experience and teaching strengths has enabled us, as a team, to build a powerful music journey for the students in our community.

Because of our music adventures together, we get to see our children and grown-ups become better versions of themselves. We also notice that we too become better versions!

It is a privilege to be able to work alongside with a team of teachers who improve themselves constantly, and collectively watching out for each other.

We are brewing new Baby Classes from January 2025 at Alexandra Central!

A carefully designed music program for kids 2 - 3+ years old.

Here’s the recipe…

First, we train the kids to learn how to listen to instructions through fun activities.

Then, we add the music stuff like Crotchets, Rhythms, Note-Reading and Expressing Emotions through music.

Meanwhile, the kids start learning how to control their fingers so that they can make specific sounds at the piano and keyboard… and voila! The kids ‘suddenly’ could play a tune at the piano.

We like to keep the class size small. So any number below 5 kids in a class, plus a guardian/parent to join in the fun is best!

Classes are scheduled for Saturdays only and fees are $150 per month for weekly 30 mins with the teacher.
