"I had the privilege of being tutored in HL IB Mathematics Analysis & Approaches by Mr Goh, and his guidance played a pivotal role in my journey to getting a 7 in the 2024 IB examinations.
Before joining his classes, I struggled to keep up with IB math's rigours as I often found myself lost tackling unfamiliar concepts and questions.
However, through Mr Goh’s structured and insightful teaching methods, he completely transformed the way I approach the subject.
Mr Goh emphasised the importance of understanding mathematical concepts at their core rather than relying on memorization.
He broke down complex topics into digestible explanations through the use of personal anecdotes and interesting facts.
This approach not only helped me improve my problem-solving skills, but also deepened my appreciation for the elegance of mathematics.
His way of teaching allowed me to quickly see the connections between different math concepts, making problem-solving feel more intuitive rather than mechanical.
Beyond teaching mathematical techniques, Mr Goh provided invaluable exam strategies that helped me navigate IB-style questions with greater confidence.
He was meticulous in identifying my strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that I refined my accuracy, logical thinking and time management skills.
Through practice sessions and personalised feedback, he trained me to recognise patterns across test papers, apply problem-solving shortcuts, and solve questions under exam pressure.
One of the things I appreciated most about Mr Goh was his unwavering dedication to his students.
He was patient yet firm, constantly pushing me beyond my comfort zone while ensuring I fully grasped each concept before moving forward.
His high expectations challenged me to strive for excellence, and his encouragement kept me motivated even when I faced setbacks.
More than just a tutor, he became a mentor, providing invaluable advice on IB preparations.
Thanks to Mr Goh, I significantly improved my performance in IB Mathematics.
My 7 is a testament to his teaching and I am incredibly grateful for his guidance.
Mr Goh instilled in me a newfound confidence in my mathematical abilities and I highly recommend him to any student looking to excel in IB math."
