We celebrated our Student Leaders' Investiture on 9 July 2026 🎉 — a meaningful milestone where we recognise the leaders among us and reflect on what leadership truly means. 💫

The investiture is a learning opportunity for all students to reflect on their leadership journey, whether or not they hold formal leadership appointments. At Jurong Secondary, we believe every student has a leadership story worth telling. 📖❤️

Through this experience, our student leaders deepen their understanding of what it means to serve others 🤝 and shape a positive school culture through responsible, values-driven leadership. 🌟 At the same time, every student in the audience is inspired to embrace active citizenry and contribute meaningfully — not just to our school, but to the wider community. 🏫🌏

Congratulations to our very own Siva Saadhurva (Class 4-1, 2021) on being awarded the prestigious PSC Scholarship! 🎉🥳

A true Champion of Mind, Leader with Heart — Saadhurva embodied everything JSS stands for. From pounding the tracks with our Cross Country team to serving with dedication as a Student Councillor, he has always led by example and given his best in everything he does.

Now, he's taking that same spirit all the way to King's College London to study Law. We have no doubt he will continue to make JSS proud on the national stage and beyond! 🏃‍♂️⚖️✨

🔊We are so proud of our JSS alumna, Ms Tan Kang Yi, Singapore's first professional 3x3 female basketball player!🏀

Kang Yi discovered her passion for basketball when she joined Jurong Secondary School, where our teachers and coaches recognised her sporting potential, and encouraged her to explore the sport. Now, she pursues a professional basketball career, challenging herself and others in 3x3 basketball. We are immensely proud of our alumna, who continues to break new ground and inspire others. Kang Yi truly embodies our school’s mission—a Champion of Mind, a Leader with Heart!🌟🥳

The girl who grew tall and turned pro in 3x3 basketball – without the usual pressure to succeed Unlike many star athletes in Singapore today, Ms Tan Kang Yi never planned to play professional basketball. She tells CNA TODAY how opportunities came to her time and again by friends and mentors who believed in her.

On 𝟮𝟵 𝗝𝗮𝗻, Jurong Secondary School welcomed two engaging partners during our morning assembly, who shared important messages on graciousness and commuter safety to life.

1️⃣🎵 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳" (𝗟𝗧𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻). Through an expressive and relatable performance, students learned how kindness, awareness, and thoughtful behaviour start with ourselves and extend to those around us in our daily journeys.

2️⃣ 𝗦𝗠𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺
🚉 Students gained important insights into commuter safety, the serious risks of entering restricted track areas and how to stay alert while travelling.

Through these meaningful segments, we were reminded that small actions — like moving in, giving way, staying safe, and being considerate — can make everyone’s journey better. 💛

You and I can make a difference in our daily commute, every day! 🙂
