P6 Adaptations
This is yet another good video about using its body structure to mimick an orchid to wait for its prey.
P6 Science
Adaptations is best learnt through videos.
Based on this video, what is the structural adaptation? And what's the behaviour adaptation?

🇸🇬 National Day Edition – Free Heritage Walking Tour!
If you didn't already know, besides being a tutor, I've recently taken on a new role as a licensed tourist guide!
This National Day weekend, I'd like to invite you to join me on a FREE heritage walking tour.
Together, we'll journey back to where modern Singapore began—from Sir Stamford Raffles' in 1819, to the treaties and agreements that established Singapore as a British trading post, and eventually a British colony.
We'll explore questions such as:
• What did Sultan Hussein, the Temenggong and the local communities gain?
• What did they have to give up?
• How did these decisions eventually shape the Singapore we know today?
Many of us know bits and pieces of Singapore's history leading to independence, but on this tour, I'll put the story together in chronological order so you'll see the bigger picture.
Some of you may have joined walking tours overseas, but have yet to experience one in Singapore. I've also reimagined the traditional walking tour experience, and I'd love for you to come and see what makes this one a little different.
📅 Date: 10 August 2026 (Monday)
🕤 Time: 9.30am – 12.00pm
📍 Meeting Point: Raffles Landing Site
🏁 End Point: Muscat Street, Kampong Glam

😊 Most importantly, bring your curiosity and a cheerful spirit!
Many of you have seen me in the classroom. Now, I'd love to show you another side of me—as a storyteller bringing Singapore's history to life.

If you have a dream, don't just talk about it—make it happen.
Last week, I shared with my pupils that if they want something badly enough, they have to work for it. Today, I'd like to share my own story in the hope that it inspires them to pursue their dreams with determination.
Throughout last year, I wanted to upgrade myself. I had hoped to enrol in the Tourist Guide Course in January 2025, but the schedule made it impossible for me to meet the required 75% attendance. Instead of giving up, I waited patiently for another opportunity.
Eventually, I found a course that fit my schedule. I began in late November 2025 and completed it in late February this year.
What many people may not know is that during those months, while your child was attending tuition, I was also attending classes every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. To continue teaching my pupils, I would leave the course at around 3.00 p.m., rush back for lessons, and then spend my evenings revising for exams, preparing outdoor presentations, marking assignments, creating worksheets, and planning future lessons. Time management and discipline became essential parts of my daily life.
I had two goals: to become a better tourist guide and to continue giving my pupils the quality education they deserved. I was determined not to compromise on either, and I believe I achieved both.
Our children are still young. Many have not yet discovered what they truly want, and it is natural for them to feel discouraged when they encounter obstacles. As an adult and as their tutor, I believe it is my responsibility to lead by example and show them that perseverance is often the difference between success and giving up.
If I had given up after my first year in business, when I had fewer than ten pupils, I would never have had the privilege of teaching and helping more than 900 pupils over the years.
Dreams do not become reality through wishful thinking alone. They become reality through commitment, resilience, and consistent effort.
Let's continue to encourage our children to make wise choices today, develop the habit of persevering through challenges, and believe in themselves. One day, they will look back and thank you for it.
