Honestly I didn't know if anyone would benefit from these Youtube tutorials.... One parent texted me telling me that I have steered so far from my past teaching philosophy and another texted me with a photo of her son attempting one of the youtube tutorials. What is trash to one is apparently treasure to another.
This is another one of the lesson that I have learnt. Never underestimate my own power... My job is simply to show up and not judge.. Allow my body to download whatever wisdom and gifts can flow through my hands.. These ideas and inspirations don't belong to me, they just flow through me....
Let whatever will come come, whatever must go go... So I am going to keep expanding my own edges and beliefs. Hopefully make the day better for someone out there who is struggling or just need a little help and inspiration.
Thank you to people who love, trust and support me as I am even as I evolve.

Beginner friendly art project that anyone can do with their children as long you have acrylic paints at home. The rest of the materials are all recycled materials that you can find around the house!
I love exploring this project and making beautiful things from the scraps I can find around my place. No more needing to buy a proper canvas before I can make art. I hope this art project alleviates the stress of art making with your kids at home!

Self trust is a knowing. Acceptance. Many adults don't have that because school never taught us that. We were always taught that the right answers exist outside of us.
Art, however is a subject that allows us to express ourselves. However it is not really the subject rather how the subject is experienced that makes the difference. If we are taught to "copy" and artwork, or "copy" the teacher's drawing, then there is no self expression. When we are instructed, "colour your sky blue always." there is no need for "us" to trust our eyes anymore...
So reconsider what kind of art is your child experiencing and what kind of messages they are receiving in community art classes where everyone is forced to draw the same damn picture...
Self trust can be explored at home in simple still life setups. Because what our children need is a facilitator who encourages them to trust their eyes, look and think for themselves.

New year new resolutions! In our Artful community, we published a new art video tutorial to share with families and friends. Adding a new still life lesson to our lesson repertoire. If you think kids can't do still life, you are in for a treat for this one.
I am sharing one of the most delightful lessons that I have done with my students in the studio, so that anyone can do it at home with their own kids. I share tips tricks, how I set up and how I facilitate. On top of that, I have added new bonus lessons and another easy to follow along craft activity for your little ones. (Psst... it is kinda in line for the dragon year isn't it?)
