We’re proud to share that KiddiWinkie Schoolhouse, part of Babilou Family Singapore, is the first preschool in Singapore to introduce up to 90 minutes of outdoor play every school day.

Introduced across KiddiWinkie centres, this commitment goes beyond simply spending more time outside. Outdoor play creates meaningful opportunities for children to move freely, explore through their senses, connect with nature and develop important skills such as attention, emotional regulation and problem-solving.

It is also an extension of our Sustainable Education™ approach and KiddiWinkie’s Natural Rhythm® pedagogy — translating what we know about early childhood development into meaningful everyday experiences for our children.

Because sometimes, some of the most valuable learning happens beyond the classroom. 🌱

It was a pleasure to welcome our Group COMEX team from France to Singapore last week as they spent time with our teams across our centres and HQ. 💛

We were delighted to host a delegation from Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education, Hong Kong, at our Little Footprints Preschool centres in Admiralty and Thomson during their visit to Singapore for the PECERA 2026 Conference.

As part of their learning journey, the visiting educators explored our infant care environments through centre tours, classroom observations, and an engaging two-way sharing session, where we exchanged insights and experiences on infant care practices and early childhood education.

Adding a special touch to the visit, our children warmly welcomed the delegates with a delightful dance performance and presented them with handmade keepsakes — a heartfelt gesture that beautifully reflected the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange.

At Babilou Family Singapore, we believe that learning is enriched through collaboration and the sharing of diverse perspectives. We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow us to connect with fellow educators from around the world as we work towards giving every child the best possible start in life.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome a delegation of preschool leaders from Kazakhstan to our KiddiWinkie Schoolhouse centres at Newton and Jurong Gateway.

Organised in collaboration with Marshall Cavendish Education, the visit was a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and learn from one another.

The delegates toured our learning environments, explored our classrooms and outdoor spaces, and gained insights into our approach to early childhood education. We also had the privilege of learning more about the preschool landscape in Kazakhstan, making it a truly meaningful exchange for everyone involved.

At Babilou Family Singapore, we believe that every conversation and collaboration helps us grow as educators, inspiring new ideas that ultimately benefit the children and families we serve.

🌿 Outdoor play isn't just about having fun — it's where children build confidence, resilience and a lifelong love for learning.

We're proud to share that Melissa Ong, Principal of Little Footprints Preschool, was featured on CNA938's The Wellness Hour with Cheryl Goh, where she spoke about why reclaiming outdoor play is so important for children's development.

In the conversation, Melissa shared how meaningful outdoor experiences help children develop physically, socially and emotionally, while encouraging curiosity, creativity and independence through hands-on exploration.
