Hi, today I am sharing what is Keto diet, its advantages and disadvantages for weight loss.
A ketogenic or Keto diet is very high in fat (about 75%), moderate in protein (about 20%), and very low in carbohydrates (about 5%). It put the body into a state of ketosis whereby the body breaks down fat to create ketones for energy, rather than burning glucose which makes it a great option for losing weight fast.
Advantages of Keto diet that we commonly hear about are weight loss, increased HDL or good cholesterol, and alleviating type 2 diabetes, and lower blood pressure as well as decreased epileptic seizure activity and inhibition of cancerous tumor growth.
Disadvantages that due to this Keto diet switch, you could feel the irritability, headache, dizziness, and fatigue on the first 3 days and may have you experiencing mood swings; but don’t give in just yet. Reward yourself with bacon and other delicious keto friendly foods as you crave for carbs and sugars. The craving will disappear as long as you’re full.
