Saturday Kids

Kids need to be out in nature more. We’ve put together a 6 night 5 day farm camp in Bali during the September school holidays (1-7 Sep) in collaboration with Begawan Life Open Learning Community, with welcome and farewell dinner at Begawan’s newly opened farm to table restaurant.

We’ll pick the kids up from the hotel in the morning and drop them off in the evening, so parents have plenty of free time to work and sightsee.

$4,200 for family of 2 adults 2 kids including 6 night accommodation, breakfast, camp fee, airport transfer and welcome/farewell dinner.

40% of the price will go towards supporting Begawan’s free after school programme. There are currently 66 local Balinese kids attending six days a week.

This is real wilderness. Instead of snakes in glass tanks, kids encounter them in the wild and learn what to do when they see one. It’s a much more authentic experience where kids feel a deep connection with nature and all its creatures.

Tried to keep price within reach for more families. We heard it’s $12k for 5 days of skiing at Club Med, so this is less than half the price 😉

Saturday Kids will be running ski camps in Shiga Kogen this Dec. Much cheaper, much less crowded, and much easier to get to than Niseko.

Saturday Kids Unplugged Karuizawa

Here’s a remote work idea for you. Drop the kids off with us in the morning, pick a spot to get 6 hours of work in, pick them up in the afternoon, go for onsen with the kids, grab an early dinner, continue working for a couple of hours after dinner (or not).

Hoshino Hot Spring is one of the nicest onsens I’ve been. Large outdoor bath with beautiful views.

Stop by Sonmin Shokudo right next door for a soft serve after onsen, or check out the cute little shops and cafes at Harunire Terrace. Kawakami-An does excellent soba.

Onsen, soft serve, coffee, lunch sans kids. Leave the kids with us. Saturday Kids Unplugged Karuizawa runs from 9am-3pm Mon-Fri at Rising Fields. That’s 6 hours of couple time every day for an entire week 😉
