Children do not remember how tired we were.
They remember whether we listened.
I was reading about the tiny stories children tell when they finally have our attention, and what stayed with me was not only the issue itself, but the parent behind it.
I love my child, but sometimes their stories come when I have nothing left.
Many parents are not careless. They are tired. They are carrying work, family needs, expectations, emotions, decisions and the invisible mental load of wondering whether they are doing enough.
At stART Studio, I often see how children open up when they feel safe enough to be heard. Sometimes it happens through a painting. Sometimes through a tiny decision they are allowed to make. Sometimes through a long story that arrives at the least convenient time.
At stART Studio, we believe confidence is crafted one brushstroke at a time. When children feel seen, heard and trusted, they begin to recognise their own worth. ❤
