Most classroom disruption isn’t defiance.

It’s repetition.
You tell a student to stop.
They stop.
Then it starts again.

That’s not a behaviour problem.
It’s a control problem.

Once you see it clearly, your response changes:
Less talking.
Faster action.
Clear structure.
