A timely reminder as we count down to PSLE results release & the conclusion of O levels! Memorisation, though important, does not make or break your ability to score 😊

Our education system has failed us by giving young children the impression that the ability to memorize and 'vomit' things out during examinations is what determines success in life and it leads to elitism. Sh*tty aunties and uncles would flaunt their child's grades during Chinese New Year for example. Different people have different interpretations for success in life, its unfortunate that all kids have to go through a route where only one image of success is forced fed onto them.

this leads to situations where young kids get demoralized/suicidal over not being able to score good grades as they have the impression that they would never succeed in life

I have old classmates friends that used to score really low in their grades, but they are extremely successful in their own way right now as they each had their own passion and interests that do not confirm to memory - soft skills like being likeable, being creative, compassion to serve have brought them to where they are today.

We don't need brainwashed people who only know how to memorize and vomit, we need people who are passionate and dedicated in being who they are and how they can contribute to society by doing the things they are meant to do

Your Secondary 1 child has just collected their results, and for some reason, it doesn't seem quite up to par...

Don't fret-- while the first year may have been used to adapt to school, their second will give them the chance to excel!

For 2021, we have limited slots for physical Sec2 classes geared towards Exp/NA/NT EMS and/or Humanities. Held in the heart of Bukit Panjang, let Ms Michelle's classes be that safe space for your child to expand their potential!
