Hi everyone!

A student of mine recently requested a "last-minute" booster workshop for English/Humanities, and it led me to realise that there are others out there who may need help as well.

Thus, am running a short-term "Humanities Workshop" : for students who just need some guided practice / wish to hone specific skills before the O levels.

[4h Social Studies + Geo/Hist Workshop]
Date: 7th October (Friday)
Location : Online / partner centre in Woodlands

Social Studies (2h)
- Going through SBQ & SRQ Key skills using past O level papers
- Short timed-practices ; marked on the spot w/ personal feedback
- Review of examination strategies key for examinations

Geo / Hist
- Students will be split into subject-specific groups for Geography / History
- Short timed-practices ; marked on the spot w/ personal feedback & immediate review
- Review of Key examination strategies for Geography/History

A timely reminder as we count down to PSLE results release & the conclusion of O levels! Memorisation, though important, does not make or break your ability to score 😊

Our education system has failed us by giving young children the impression that the ability to memorize and 'vomit' things out during examinations is what determines success in life and it leads to elitism. Sh*tty aunties and uncles would flaunt their child's grades during Chinese New Year for example. Different people have different interpretations for success in life, its unfortunate that all kids have to go through a route where only one image of success is forced fed onto them.

this leads to situations where young kids get demoralized/suicidal over not being able to score good grades as they have the impression that they would never succeed in life

I have old classmates friends that used to score really low in their grades, but they are extremely successful in their own way right now as they each had their own passion and interests that do not confirm to memory - soft skills like being likeable, being creative, compassion to serve have brought them to where they are today.

We don't need brainwashed people who only know how to memorize and vomit, we need people who are passionate and dedicated in being who they are and how they can contribute to society by doing the things they are meant to do

Developed for maximum accessibility, students are free to pick & choose which topics they wish to revise (and of course, only pay for those.)
