On 7 August, Swiss Cottage commemorated its 63rd Speech Day, which celebrated our Thoughtful Leaders' contributions and achievements. The event began with an opening address from our Principal Mdm Cheng, followed by a speech from Guest of Honour, Dr Steve Yang 🎤.

Valedictorians Muhammad Amjad Amirul Bin Mohamed Saaid and Neil Aiman Bin Azmi delivered heartfelt speeches, highlighting the importance of interpersonal connections and resilience in achieving success 💪. Certificates were then presented to Secondary Three, Four, and Five students of Academic Year 2025, marking their achievements in Swiss Cottage 🏆.

The celebration also featured vibrant 🌟 performances featuring our school's Chinese Orchestra, Show Choir, Swiss Dance, and NCC Command Band, demonstrating the various artistic talents of Thoughtful Leaders 🎶.

Scholastic Awards were also presented to Secondary 1 and 2 students of Academic Year 2025, commending their pursuit of academic excellence 📖.

Congratulations to all awardees 🙌! You have made Swiss proud!

Did everyone have a great time celebrating National Day?

Swiss Cottage certainly did! On 7 August, the school celebrated Singapore's 🇸🇬 61st Birthday with a spectacular ceremony alongside guests from PCF Sparkletots. The event began with the strong presence of the NCC Command Band marching in as they played their fierce melodies 🎺. Soon after came the Uniformed Groups, consisting of the National Cadet Corps (Air), Boys' Brigade, Scouts, National Cadet Corps, National Civil Defence Cadet Corps, and National Police Cadet Corps. They marched forward to pay their respects 🫡 to the Singapore flag, with pride in each stride.

The school then came together to sing the National Anthem and recite the National Pledge, showing harmony regardless of race, language, or religion ❤️. Finally, students from PCF Sparkletots performed dances to iconic National Day Tunes 💃, garnering applause from students and teachers.

A joyous 61st National Day, indeed! Majulah Singapura 🇸🇬!

The fiery blaze of the Swiss spirit burns bright 🔥!

Last Wednesday (29 July), our Bowling 🎳 team participated in the Bowling C-Division Quartet Category. Through hard work and perseverance, our players fought with excellence with each strike 🌟.

Let us give them a round of applause for their wonderful performance 👏. Congratulations, boys! Your efforts were not for naught 🎉

Once again, the Swiss Olympics have begun! 📢

On 3rd July, Swiss Cottage gathered to participate in the Swiss Olympics, where the 5 houses competed with each other in various events 🎖️. First up, house representatives participated in a thrilling race 🏁 to kick off the fun-filled day!

Our students then went off with utmost passion 🔥 to gain points for their houses. The competitions included basketball 🏀, volleyball 🏐, football ⚽, and more. Hours under the blistering sun ☀️ did not stop our students from having fun!

Finally, each house showcased their swift and fierce moves💃at the Cheer and Dance competition. It ended with the victory of the Green Scorpions, both in the Swiss Olympics and the Cheer and Dance competition 💚🏆

Congratulations to our Green Scorpions! 👏 And good job to all other participants 🎉

There is nothing else to say but a job well done, players! 🙌

On 20 April, our B Division Floorball Girls 🏑 went against Marsiling Secondary School for the NSG Floorball Girls Finals. After long hours of tireless and laborious training, they managed to achieve national 2nd place 🥈 . Throughout the match, they exhibited fierce determination, with an undying ember of competitiveness burning brightly and eternally within their hearts.

Thank you to the students who participated and supported our fellow schoolmates 🎉. The echoes of cheer 🗣️ that roared throughout the place undoubtedly made this achievement possible.

Once again, congratulations to our B Division Floorball Girls for attaining this commendable accomplishment 🎊. Swiss is forever proud of you ✨

Where were you during the Swiss Hari Raya concert? 👀

Last Thursday, Swiss gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan 🌙, with a concert theme of “Harmony in Diversity: Raya & Friendship United” 🤝. The event began with our Drama club's performance titled “Maaf Zahir dan Batin”, a slice-of-life drama that exhibits the mundane aspects of a family 🌇. Up next, a mini quiz was held, challenging the student bodies’ knowledge about Hari Raya 🧠. After that, an applaudable Modern dance performance was conducted by our school's Swiss Dance 💃, blending traditional and modern features into one.

We also had a fashion runway event with our very own international students as models! Wearing their respective traditional costumes from their home countries, the students served as glamorous ✨ testaments to Singapore's multiculturalism. To top it all off, our students sang a lively and wonderful melody 🎤, ending the event with a festive spirit befitting of a celebration 🎊.

We hope that through this event, our students fostered not only long-lasting memories, but also a sense of appreciation to the various cultures that exist around the world 🌏.

On 6 April 2026, Swiss gathered to witness the passing of the torch as the outgoing student leaders formally entrusted their duties to the newly appointed leaders of the Student Council, House EXCO, Science Ambassadors, Makers Education, Dhangout Crew, CCE Ambassadors, and CCA EXCO.

To our outgoing leaders: thank you for the unseen hours, the early mornings, and the steady hearts that kept Swiss running. You’ve left the foundation stronger than you found it. 🔥

To the leaders of 2026: this sash is not a crown. It is a promise. Lead with kindness. Listen before you speak. And when no one is watching, keep showing up anyway. 🙌
