As the term winds down and our CCAs close out the year, we’re taking a moment to recognise our student-athletes 🎓

At the National School Games, what matters is not only the result, but how the game is played. The Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC) Sportsmanship Award recognises student-athletes who distinguish themselves through character, integrity and sportsmanship in competition.

This year, that recognition goes to Adam, Aliya, Jayden, Jing Xuan, Nabil and Carissa from Hockey 🏑 — a close-quarters game with sticks, where restraint under contact carries as much weight as skill.

This year, that recognition goes to Shawn, Lawson, and Xin Yi from Basketball 🏀 — a fast, high-contact game where how a call is contested matters as much as how a shot is.

Transcendence 2026 🖼️ 𝑂𝑑𝑦𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑦 ✨

Our Visual Arts students bring together works from Gap Week Aesthetics Electives, photography of school events and other curated student artworks in Odyssey. 🎨

Themed 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐝𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲, the exhibition explores how every journey brings change — from finding comfort in the familiar, to stepping into the unknown and reflecting on the experiences that shape us. 🧭

Students have been involved in curating the works and shaping the exhibition experience, taking visitors through different stages of this journey. 🖌️ The journey moves from comfort in the familiar, to the leap into the unknown, to reflection on what the experience left behind.

As we mark the end of Transcendence 2026, the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Programmes give our students opportunities to 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. 🌟 In doing so, they create shared memories for fellow Millennians and contribute to the flagship experiences that have become hallmarks of the MI journey. 💫

Transcendence 2026 🎭 𝑀𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑝ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑖𝑠 ✨

This year, our Aesthetics Leaders didn’t just perform — they 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰. 🛠️ From conceptualisation to curation, from mentoring performers to running the production, Lunch Time Concert and Transcendence were shaped by student hands from the ground up, bringing this production to life.

Through learning journeys, behind-the-scenes exposure and running performances of their own, our students embodied 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. 🌱

This year’s Metamorphosis unfolds in three acts:
🌊 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 — learning to sit with change rather than resist it.
🔥 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 — pushing past the edges of what felt possible, and overcoming challenges.
🦋 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 — stepping out the other side, with new discovery and perspectives of who we are.

On Saturday, our students proudly took part in 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the Singapore EXPO, a sporting event co-organised by 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐒𝐃𝐒𝐂) and 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞, in conjunction with 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞! 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞.

Partnering with our friends from 𝐀𝐏𝐒𝐍 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, our students competed in 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍, 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍, 𝒃𝒂𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒓𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍, 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 every step of the way.

Beyond the medals, it was the friendships forged and the spirit of inclusion that made the day truly meaningful.

A special congratulations to our student, 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥, who was selected to play in a floorball exhibition match with SPS Goh Hanyan! 👏

Yesterday, we celebrated 𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝑫𝒂𝒚 in the most meaningful way. 🌸

From traditional games during PE lessons to watching 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒕 - a skit that reminded us how friendship can break down stereotypes, our day was filled with 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.

Our students also came together in so many wonderful ways. Browsing souvenirs by our Entrepreneurship Club, getting beautiful henna art by our Indian Cultural Society, and savouring delicious traditional kuihs from our canteen vendors. 🩷🥟

Three of our very own Millennians were awarded the prestigious scholarship that is awarded to Pre-University students who have strong mathematics and science background, with an inclination towards applied, interdisciplinary and hands-on learning.

1. Daniel (PU2)
“ETPS would give me access to the internship track which is exactly where I want to be. I want to work on real systems and learn from their failures directly. I want to build things that work reliably and understand why they do not when they fail. If I come across something I do not know I will find the answer and keep going.”

2. Danesh (PU2)
“My passion for engineering and technology began long before ETPS. Growing up, I spent countless hours building LEGO skyscrapers, taking apart and repairing remote-controlled cars, and wondering how things worked. Those childhood experiences sparked a curiosity that has only grown stronger over the years. Engineering and technology became my “why”—the driving force behind my desire to solve problems, innovate, and explore the unknown. More recently, that curiosity has even extended to space exploration and astronautics, inspiring me to dream beyond what seems possible.”

3. Qi Yang (PU2)
“ETPS allows me to channel my passion for engineering and I’m thrilled for the opportunity that the school and MOE has given me. My advice to all Millennians is to seize any opportunity that comes their way and fight hard!”

At Millennia Institute, we believe in being a 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔, where every student is given a 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔. Through a nurturing and inclusive environment, we seek to foster 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚, 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑, equipping our students with the life skills they need to thrive beyond the classroom.

And Sophie’s journey is a beautiful reflection of just that.

For Sophie, the answer to “𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭” wasn’t found in grades or achievements. It was found in the people around her - her CCA mates in Drama, her fellow Student Council members, her teachers, and her family.

From performing in Peter and the Starcatcher to serving as Vice-President of the Student Council, Sophie’s journey in MI was one of 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚, 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉.

She leaves us with a powerful question: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭?
