๐ง ๐ BOOK WEEK: DAY 5 โ BOOK QUIZ & BOOK FAIR!
And thatโs a wrap on Book Week at our Hillside Campus! ๐โจ
Our Primary students ended an exciting week of reading with a Book Quiz, putting their literary knowledge to the test based on the recommended classic titles shared over the June break. Working together, students recalled characters, stories and memorable moments โ celebrating teamwork, curiosity and, of course, a little friendly competition! ๐๐
The excitement continued at our Book Fair, where students had the opportunity to browse, discover and take home new books that caught their interest. From familiar favourites to exciting new finds, there was plenty to spark their curiosity. ๐โจ
At NPSI, we want reading to extend beyond the classroom. By creating experiences that make books interactive, social and enjoyable, we hope to nurture curious learners and encourage a love for reading that continues long after Book Week ends.
What a wonderful way to close five days of stories, imagination, discovery and learning! ๐

โ๏ธ๐ BOOK WEEK: DAY 3 โ MEET THE AUTHOR & STORYTELLER!
Our Hillside Campus was filled with stories, imagination and plenty of curious minds as our Early Years and Primary students enjoyed a special Meet the Author & Storyteller experience! โจ
๐ Author Ms Sunita Lad Bhamre met with our Grades 2โ5 students, sharing Grandma Limโs Persimmons with Grades 2 and 3, and Kalee and the Mysterious Twins: Keepers of the Big Secret with Grades 4 and 5.
๐ Storyteller Ms Megha Nangia brought stories to life for our younger learners, taking our Early Years students on an adventure with Weโre Going on a Bear Hunt, while Grade 1 explored the colourful world of The Rainbow Fish.
Through these engaging sessions, students discovered the ideas, imagination and inspiration behind storytelling, while experiencing just how exciting a story can become when it is shared and brought to life.
At NPSI, we create opportunities that nurture curiosity, imagination and a genuine love for reading, making literacy an experience students can connect with and enjoy. ๐๐
Another memorable chapter in our Book Week celebrations! ๐

๐ค The future isnโt coming. Itโs already here.
And our students are ready for it. ๐
On 19 August, NPS International School hosted the AI & Robotics Symposium 2026โ bringing together leading voices from industry, academia and technology to explore how AI is transforming the world around us.
๐ค Keynote Speakers
โข Mr. Ng Tian Chong, CEO, Singtel
โข Ms. Priyanka Aggarwal, Senior Partner, Boston Consulting Group
โข Mr. Punit Agarwal, Country Head, Tata Consultancy Services
โข Dr. Shreya Shankar, Professor, UC Berkeley
๐ก Panel Discussion
โข Mr. Shlok Jain, Lead Product Manager, Grab
โข Prof. Swapna Gottipati, Associate Professor of Information Systems, SMU
โข Mr. Brijesh Pandya, AI and Data Leader, Keppel Ltd
But the real stars of the day? Our students.โจ
From AI-powered ideas and robotics innovations to research and hands-on projects, our young innovators confidently shared their work with industry experts โ asking questions, answering questions and discovering new possibilities along the way.
One of the biggest takeaways from the day was that being future-ready isnโt just about knowing technology. Itโs about staying curious, adaptable and willing to unlearn and relearnโ while building the human skills that will matter more than ever: creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and empathy.
Our speakers were amazed by the studentsโ curiosity, enthusiasm and ability to make complex AI concepts relatable to everyday life.
The message was clear: AI is a powerful tool. What matters is how we choose to use it.
At NPSI, weโre committed to empowering our students to explore emerging technologies, think critically about their impact and become responsible innovators who will shape โ rather than simply adapt to โ the future. ๐๐ก
The future is theirs to imagine. And theirs to build.

Four Houses. One Community. One unforgettable Sports Day. ๐
On 14 August, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) Stadium came alive with an electric buzz as our NPSI students sprinted, leapt, competed and cheered their hearts out at Sports Day 2026.
From the first whistle to the final relay, the day was a wonderful celebration of perseverance, teamwork, sportsmanship and school spiritโ and a powerful expression of what makes our House System such an important part of the NPSI experience.
At NPS International School, our four Houses โ Discoverers (Yellow), Voyagers (Blue), Explorers (Green) and Pioneers (Red)โ bring students and staff together across age groups. Throughout the year, students earn House points not only through inter-house competitions, but through participation, leadership, sportsmanship and living our shared values.
Sports Day is where that spirit truly comes alive.
The energy was extraordinary. Students cheered for their House, encouraged their teammates, celebrated each other's achievements and gave everything they had on the track and field. For our athletes, it was about pushing personal boundaries; for our wider community, it was about showing up for one another.
And after an incredible day of competition, the results were inโฆ
๐ฅ Pioneers proved unstoppable, claiming the House Championship for the third consecutive year with a commanding performance.
๐ฅ Explorers followed closely behind in second place, demonstrating tremendous determination and team spirit.
A huge congratulations to all our students and athletes whose passion, perseverance and sportsmanship made Sports Day 2026 such a memorable chapter in our school story.
Because ultimately, the House Cup is only one measure of success. The greatest victory is the sense of belonging, resilience, camaraderie and collective pride that our House System builds across the NPSI community.
Four Houses. One NPSI. And a spirit that keeps us moving forward together. ๐ซ

At NPS International School, we believe a truly holistic education must make space not only for what students can know, but for what they can imagine, create and express.
Last week, our Scotts Secondary Campus Art Gallery hosted NPSIโs inaugural IGCSE Art & Design Exhibition, celebrating the work of Alok, Avanthika, Meha, Samvritha and Tanishka.
The exhibition was a wonderful reflection of what happens when young people are given the space, guidance and confidence to develop their own creative voice. Across a diverse range of themes, techniques and personal explorations, our students demonstrated not simply technical skill, but curiosity, critical thinking and the courage to see the world from their own perspective.
This is why Visual Arts is such an important part of our educational philosophy.
From Grade 1 through the IB Diploma Programme, our arts programme is designed to nurture creativity alongside academic rigourโhelping students build technical and conceptual skills, develop personal expression and, for those who choose to pursue it, prepare for further study at leading art and design institutions around the world.
Many of our students have gone on to pursue pathways in architecture, fine arts, animation, visual communication, design and other creative disciplines. Their journeys are a powerful reminder that creativity is not an extracurricular addition to education. It can be a discipline, a vocation and a way of thinking.
At NPSI, our academic and STEM achievements rightly receive recognition. But exhibitions like this remind us that education is at its most powerful when it develops the whole personโthe analytical mind, the creative spirit and the confidence to bring an original perspective to the world.
My heartfelt congratulations to our student artists, and sincere thanks to our Creative Arts Department, dedicated teachers, student curators and the wider school community for bringing this exhibition to life.
And to the budding artists who may be considering NPSI: come and see our art studios and gallery spaces during your next campus visit. See creativity in action.
