🎭✨ REFRAMED: ARTS ARE ALIVE ✨🎭

On 4 and 5 June, the NPS International School community came together for REFRAMED: ARTS ARE ALIVE—a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and student leadership.

While audiences experienced the magic on stage, what made this production truly special was the journey behind it. Over weeks of preparation, students took ownership of every aspect of the production—from developing performances and choreographing routines to leading rehearsals and supporting backstage operations.

As part of our commitment to holistic education, we believe that meaningful learning happens when students are given opportunities to explore their interests, take on responsibilities, and apply their skills in authentic, real-world settings. Experiences such as the Annual School Production allow students to grow not only as performers, but also as leaders, collaborators, and confident individuals.

We are incredibly proud of every student, performer, musician, dancer, student leader, production team member, backstage crew member, teacher, and staff member who contributed to making REFRAMED: ARTS ARE ALIVE a success.

Thank you to our families, friends, and guests for celebrating and supporting our students every step of the way. 🌟

Here’s a look back at the moments, memories, and magic of REFRAMED: ARTS ARE ALIVE. 🌟

🏃‍♂️🏅 16th Annual Primary Sports Day 🏅🏃‍♀️

On 5 June, our primary students came together at SUTD for a day filled with energy, determination, teamwork, and school spirit as they took part in the 16th Annual Primary Sports Day.

From sprint races and relay events to house cheers and team celebrations, students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and resilience. While the competition brought excitement to the day, Sports Day was ultimately about much more than winning medals—it was an opportunity for students to build confidence, demonstrate sportsmanship, and experience the value of perseverance and teamwork.

At NPS International School, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Through events such as Sports Day, students develop important life skills including leadership, communication, collaboration, and the confidence to challenge themselves in new ways. These experiences play a vital role in supporting their holistic growth and wellbeing.

A special congratulations to Explorers on their first Sports Day championship in 10 years, and to Discoverers for securing the runner-up position. We also commend Voyagers and Pioneers for their determination, enthusiasm, and unwavering team spirit throughout the day.

We extend our sincere thanks to our Guest of Honor, Mr. Marc Brian Louis, for joining us, as well as to our parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, and supporters whose encouragement helped make the day so memorable for our students.

Most importantly, we celebrate every student who stepped onto the field, gave their best effort, supported their teammates, and embodied the values of respect, resilience, and sportsmanship.

Here's a look back at a day of achievement, friendship, and unforgettable memories. 🌟

✨ A Heartfelt Message of Gratitude ✨

At NPS International School, some of our proudest moments are not measured by university offers alone, but by the impact we have on the lives of our students and families.

Recently, we received a touching letter of appreciation from the family of one of our graduating students, Pei Yumeng, whose hard work and dedication have resulted in offers from several prestigious universities across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Reflecting on Yumeng's journey, her family shared these words:

"There was no discrimination—only encouragement; no reservations—only selfless giving."

They spoke of the care, patience, and unwavering support shown by our teachers, as well as the nurturing environment that allowed Yumeng to grow with confidence and pursue her ambitions.

The family also expressed their gratitude for the strong sense of community at NPS, where teachers and classmates alike played an important role in supporting her academic and personal development.

We are deeply honoured by their kind words and proud of everything Yumeng has achieved. Her success is a testament to her perseverance, determination, and commitment to excellence.

Congratulations, Yumeng! We wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter, and we look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the years ahead.

💙 Thank you to our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and inspiring students for making the NPS community so special.

At NPS International School, we believe that potential is never fixed — it is nurtured through the right environment, mentorship, encouragement, and opportunities to grow.

One of our international students from China, Zhuang (Grace), recently reflected on her journey at NPSI. Like many students adapting to a new country, curriculum, and language, the transition was not easy.

What transformed her journey was not pressure or fear, but a culture of aspiration, care, and support.

At NPSI, she found herself surrounded by motivated peers who inspired her to aim higher, teachers who never made her feel inadequate when she struggled, and a learning environment where progress was recognised and celebrated at every stage. Through consistent mentoring, patience, and personalised academic support, she steadily improved her grades, flourished in extracurricular activities and successfully received admission offers from top global universities.

More importantly, she discovered confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Her reflections are a powerful reminder that student success is not reserved only for those who arrive as top performers. With the right guidance, encouragement, and environment, students can surpass their own expectations and flourish in ways they never imagined possible.

At NPSI, we remain deeply committed to creating a school culture where every learner — regardless of background, starting point, or language proficiency — is empowered to grow academically, personally, and globally.
Because education is not simply about recognising excellence. It is about developing it.

Last week, NPS International School proudly celebrated the graduation of 119 remarkable young men and women at a memorable evening filled with joy, reflection, and pride.

The Class of 2026 represents not only academic achievement, but also resilience, character, global mindedness, and purpose.

Among this graduating cohort, 21 students are going to serve Singapore through National Service — a commendable commitment to the nation they call home and to a future larger than themselves.

This year’s ceremony was especially meaningful as we recognised 39 students who began their journey with NPSI in the Early Years and continued with us all the way to Year 12. Their decade-long journey reflects the enduring trust families place in our school and the nurturing environment that supports every stage of a child’s growth.

We are immensely proud of our graduates and deeply grateful to the parents who entrusted NPSI with the responsibility of guiding and shaping their children through these formative years.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr Shawn Loh, Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar Group Representation Constituency, for gracing the ceremony as our Guest of Honour and for being part of this important milestone for our graduating students and families.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making the occasion so special — particularly our IB Year 1 students, who managed the backstage with exceptional maturity and served as outstanding MCs for the evening.

Congratulations once again to the graduating Class of 2026. While your journey at NPSI may be ending, the values, friendships, and memories built here will remain with you for life.

In the coming weeks, we look forward to sharing more highlights from this exceptional cohort, including university offers, placements, scholarships, and other notable achievements that reflect the outstanding outcomes of the Class of 2026.

🌍🏆 Excellence Beyond Borders! 🏆🌍

What happens when learning goes beyond textbooks and classrooms?
You see students stepping onto global platforms with confidence, curiosity, courage, and a voice of their own.

We are incredibly proud of our NPSI scholars for their outstanding performance at the World Scholars Cup Singapore Round! 🎉 With 22 teams and 66 students participating, our students brought home multiple trophies and medals while engaging deeply with global issues, critical thinking challenges, debates, and collaborative problem-solving.

One of the proudest moments for us was watching our senior IB History students serve as judges at the event — leading with professionalism, maturity, and confidence. 💫

At NPS International School, we believe experiences like these help shape internationally minded young people who are not only academically strong, but also articulate, empathetic, globally aware, and future-ready.

And the journey continues… ✈️
We are thrilled that the entire NPSI delegation has now qualified for the Global Rounds and is one step closer to the prestigious Tournament of Champions at Yale University, USA! 🇺🇸

Congratulations to all our students and mentors on this incredible achievement! ❤️

🏅 Proud Moment for Team NPSI! 🏅

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our ethletes — Archisha, Prakriti, Sahil, and Swarnika — who won the Gold Medal at the regional round of the International Ethics Olympiad and will now advance to the World Finals on July 23! 🌍✨

This is especially meaningful for us as this marks the fifth time NPSI has participated in the Olympiad — and every year, our students have qualified for the world finals. 👏

The Ethics Olympiad is unlike any other competition. It challenges students to think deeply, embrace differing perspectives, engage respectfully, and navigate complex real-world ethical dilemmas with empathy and critical thinking.

What makes us even prouder is the dedication this team showed while preparing tirelessly during their crucial semester examination period.

As Swarnika shared so beautifully:
“We didn’t always see eye to eye, but that was what made the process so valuable.”

At NPSI, we believe education is not only about academic excellence, but also about nurturing integrity, respect, compassion, and responsible global citizenship — truly living our vision of inspiring young minds and empowering them to have a positive impact on the world.

Congratulations once again, Team NPSI! We can’t wait to cheer you on at the World Finals! 💙
