Bedok Green Primary School’s 25th Anniversary Dinner Celebration was a meaningful evening as we came together to commemorate 25 years of growth, memories and achievements.

We were honoured to welcome our Guest-of-Honour, Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Manpower, as well as Mayor of the South East District. We were also delighted to be joined by our former Principals and Vice-Principals, members of the School Advisory Committee, community partners, parents, alumni, staff and students.

The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with members of the BGPS family, reflect on our shared journey, and celebrate the strong partnerships that have shaped our school over the years. Through heartfelt conversations, memorable performances and shared experiences, we were reminded of the values and spirit that continue to unite us.

As we commemorate this milestone, we look forward to inspiring new horizons together and continuing to nurture Empowered Learners and Persons of Strength and Character for many years to come.

BGPS commemorated Drug Victims Remembrance Day on 20 and 21 May through a series of meaningful and engaging recess activities that encouraged students to reflect on making healthy choices and building a positive future.

Our students participated in:

*Choose Your Choice* – expressing positive choices by writing their thoughts on colourful cards.
*Words of Strength* – writing encouraging messages and positive affirmations to inspire themselves and others.
*Hearts of Hope* – sharing promises and reflections for a healthy future on a collaborative display.
*Ribbon of Hope* – creating colourful ribbons with pledges to stay strong and make positive life choices.

Through these activities, students learned the importance of resilience, self-respect, and making informed decisions that contribute to a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

We would like to thank all students and staff for their enthusiastic participation. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our parent volunteers for manning the booths and ensuring that all activities ran smoothly. Your support and dedication contributed greatly to the success of the event.

Together, we continue to nurture a caring school community where every child is empowered to make positive choices and work towards a brighter future.

The last day of Term 2 was a memorable occasion as we celebrated BGPS’s 25th Anniversary through a series of meaningful and engaging activities.

Students participated in the “How BGPian Are You?” Trail, exploring various stations around the school while learning more about BGPS’s history, milestones and heritage. In their classrooms, they also took part in sports stacking activities that encouraged teamwork, concentration and perseverance.

The celebration culminated in the Principal’s Challenge, where students gathered to cheer on the finalists in the sports stacking competition, alongside special challenge events involving teachers, parents and school leaders. The programme brought the school community together in a vibrant display of school spirit and pride, strengthening our shared identity and fostering a deeper sense of belonging among all members of the BGPS family.

Our Primary 3 students participated in the Captain’s Ball Interclass Games on 26 May 2026. Beyond the excitement on the court, the games provided meaningful opportunities for students to put school values into practice through the CDG framework.

Throughout the matches, students demonstrated teamwork by communicating effectively and involving all teammates in play before passing to the captain. They showed responsibility by fulfilling their roles and contributing to their team’s game plan. Students also displayed respect and resilience by shaking hands after each match, encouraging one another, and persevering through both victories and setbacks.

The games concluded with P3 Responsibility emerging as champions. More importantly, every class participated wholeheartedly, played with good sportsmanship, and supported one another throughout the event.

We extend our appreciation to the PE Department and Primary 3 teachers for organising and facilitating this meaningful and energetic learning experience.

On 19 May, 21 of our Primary 4 Internationalisation students embarked on a meaningful learning journey to the Singapore River.

Through this experience, students gained a deeper understanding of Singapore’s past, present and future as they explored iconic landmarks such as the Merlion, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, as well as the historic bridges along the Singapore River.

Students also learnt about the significant role the Singapore River played in Singapore’s early development, particularly for merchants and early settlers who depended on it for trade and livelihood. The learning journey provided our international students with a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s rich heritage, multicultural society and remarkable progress as a modern nation.
