Who says neighbourhood school student can not score good mark? Truely understanding in chemistry subject will help a student to score in exam easily and effortlessly. Bravo! My dear student👍

Yesterday was the O level released. One of my chemistry students get F9 in sec 3. After joining my tuition in sec4, I realised that she has difficulty in understanding all the chemistry chapters and short memory too. With the hard work between both of us, she managed to score B3 in O level this year. This is the best gift for her and for me. I am so happy for her yesterday when I hear this news from her. Wish her all the best in future JC journey.

When someone gives us unconstructive criticism (eg. you will never make it, you are hopeless, your foundation is very poor and you’re not going to pass in exams, you are stupid…), we will definitely be upset. We can be discouraged for a short while, but not for a long term.

If we allow this negativity to affect our mental wellbeing, we allow others to hurt us. This can cause them to demoralise us, which might even cause depression.

The best course of action in this situation is to seek expert guidance, and gradually improve the situation with hard work, becoming stronger in the learning process. In the long term, we will prove them wrong.

I feel grateful that one of my students has shown significant improvements through hard work (even revising till late night). I was glad to know that she got a solid pass in chemistry for the first time while many of her classmates failed. This shows that eventually, all effort will pay off.

To my dear student:
Never give up on yourself. I have never given up on you, because I’ve always believed you could do it.

Feeling touched watching concert of
George Lam (76 years old) and Sally Yeh (62 years old). Especially inspired by Sally who sing and dance on stage with high energy (comparable with youngster). Hope I can be as energetic as her forever. Life is amazing 👍
