We’ve just launched the AIS Scholarship Programme 2027!

At AIS, we believe greatness takes space. Students need the space to explore, to grow, and to become who they aspire to be. This scholarship programme reflects that belief by celebrating those in Years 9 to 12 who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful engagement beyond the classroom.

The new programme offers 2 pathways:

General Scholarships for high academic achievers, with up to 50% tuition support

Specialist Scholarships for students excelling in Leadership & Service, Sport, STEM & Innovation, or the Arts, with up to 25% support

Applications for 2027 are now open and close on 1 August 2026.

We look forward to welcoming the next batch of AIS scholars next year.

AIS Alumni: Where in the World are they Now? 🌍
As our latest cohort of AIS graduates begin their university journeys 🎓, we’re taking a moment to reconnect with our alumni to see where life has taken them since graduating from AIS.

Today, we speak to Jonathon, Class of 2019, who went on to study Economics at the University of Cambridge and is now working in the UK at Citadel, a leading global financial institution. We caught up with Jonathon to hear about how his time at AIS helped to prepare him for life beyond the classroom and for success in his chosen career.

Q: In what ways did AIS help you develop beyond academics?
Jonathon: At its core, AIS is about the community 🤝. I feel so lucky to have been part of a school where you're exposed to such diverse opinions and perspectives, and to have so many opportunities for education outside of the classroom. AIS teachers are very good at setting goals, supporting you to reach them, and then celebrating excellence when it's achieved 🎉. That culture of support and growth extended well beyond the classroom for me.

Q: What aspects of AIS’s multicultural environment prepared you for studying and now working in global settings like Cambridge and London?
Jonathon: Having been at AIS for almost 13 years, that multicultural environment became second nature to me — being exposed to diverse opinions and perspectives every single day. When I got to Cambridge, I was already comfortable navigating different worldviews and working with people from all walks of life 🌏. I'm genuinely grateful to the AIS community for nurturing the perspective and ambition that made that transition possible.

Q: Now working at Citadel, what skills first took root at AIS and continue to help you succeed in a fast‑paced global environment?
Jonathon: Economics has always been a subject I've been passionate about — from my very first lesson 📘. What AIS gave me wasn't just the academic foundation, but the mindset. I remember how the whole class worked together and helped each other as exams approached — that collaborative spirit, that sense of shared purpose, is something I carry with me. In a fast-paced environment like Citadel, the ability to work well with others while staying focused on excellence 🚀 is everything. That started at AIS.

The Secondary Musical Production of The SpongeBob Musical was a spectacular celebration of creativity, collaboration, and student talent. Featuring students from Years 8 to 12, the production brought the colourful underwater world of Bikini Bottom to life through energetic performances, live music, vibrant choreography, and imaginative stage design. Chosen for its humour, optimism, and heartfelt message about community and resilience, the show gave students the opportunity to fully embrace the silliness and heart of musical theatre, while showcasing the dedication and teamwork of the entire cast and crew.

Spending a full day at AIS gives a different level of insight and we were delighted to see that reflected in a recent review from The Good Schools Guide. 💙

Known for its independence and integrity, The Good Schools Guide selects and reviews schools without paid inclusion, allowing families to trust what they read. Their time on campus captured the warmth, energy, and purpose that define daily life at AIS—alongside the structure and academic direction that supports students to thrive.

Our Year 3 students launched their new Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are in Place and Time: Exploring Earth’s Surface, with a hands-on experience led by guest speaker Brendan Jones, a professional metallurgist! 🪨✨

Students had the opportunity to explore a fascinating collection of natural rocks and minerals up close, learning how different minerals are formed and found within Earth’s surface. The interactive session sparked curiosity, questions and excitement as students became young geologists for the day.

A huge thank you to Brendan for sharing his expertise and bringing learning to life in such an engaging way!
