Our heartfelt congratulations to the members of the TGPS family who have been honoured with the 2026 Singapore National Awards!

The Commendation Medal is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through commendable performance, devotion to duty and service to Singapore.

The Long Service Medal recognises officers who have completed at least 25 years of loyal and dedicated service to Singapore.

These awards are not only a recognition of individual achievement, but also a celebration of the values of dedication, service and excellence that they embody.

Once again, congratulations to our Singapore

🇸🇬 This morning, Teck Ghee Primary was proud to be part of the Teck Ghee Community National Day Observance Ceremony 2026, celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday alongside our wider community.

Our Primary 4 TGStars joined the celebration, while our talented Modern Dancers brought energy to the morning with a vibrant performance. We were also proud to have one of our teachers serve as the Pledge Taker, leading the Teck Ghee community in reciting the National Pledge together.

From our students to our teachers and community partners, it was a meaningful morning of unity, pride and love for Singapore.

Here’s to celebrating our nation together and looking forward to an even brighter future. Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! 🇸🇬

What does Singapore mean to our TGStars, staff and parent volunteers? From favourite local foods and National Day songs to what “Go Beyond” means to them and their hopes for Singapore’s future, our community shared their thoughts in our National Day Quick Fire interviews. Different voices, different perspectives, but one shared love for home. 🇸🇬

Eight TGStars had the wonderful opportunity to take part in Play Inclusive 2026 alongside their friends from Chao Yang School.

In the lead-up to the event, our TGStars attended five training sessions at Chao Yang School, where they honed their football skills, built meaningful friendships, and discovered the value of teamwork. Their journey culminated on 1 August 2026, when they proudly represented the school as UNITAS WOLVES and UNITAS EAGLES at Singapore EXPO Hall 3.

Play Inclusive celebrates the power of sport to bring students of different abilities together, creating opportunities to connect, participate, and experience a true sense of belonging.

While medals recognise achievement, this journey reminded us that the greatest victory is found in inclusivity, friendship, courage, and unity. It is not about the medals—it is about playing together, encouraging one another, and ensuring that everyone belongs.

We are incredibly proud of our TGStars for demonstrating resilience, sportsmanship, and outstanding team spirit throughout this inspiring journey.

A celebration of our nation, our people and our community. 🇸🇬

Our National Day celebrations began with the Observance Ceremony, where TGStars reflected on the significance of our national symbols and reaffirmed their commitment to Singapore. The celebrations continued with performances by our Choir, Modern Dance and Chinese Dance groups, followed by an energetic drumming performance by the seniors from Lions Befrienders Golden Rhythms. As the culmination of our intergenerational project, the seniors presented the handcrafted stocking orchids and fruits —created together with our TGStars— to our Principal, Ms Rezia. The celebration ended with a heartwarming community singing session that brought everyone together in the true spirit of National Day.

Back in the classrooms, students enjoyed games, trivia, discussions and nostalgic local childhood snacks, rounding off a memorable National Day celebration.

As we celebrate Singapore's journey together, may we continue to cherish our shared values, strengthen our community and always strive to Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! 🇸🇬

National Day celebrations were in full swing during recess! 🇸🇬
Students explored a variety of hands-on activities, from writing heartfelt wishes for Singapore and creating colourful National Day buntings to making paper fans, solving Singapore-themed puzzles and testing their knowledge with Snakes and Ladders. The excitement continued as many danced along to this year's GetActive! Singapore Workout: Dance of the Nation (DOTN), filling the school with energy, smiles and National Day spirit!

TGStars had the opportunity to learn from World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) during an engaging assembly on plastic waste and waste management.

Students discovered why plastic is one of the most common types of waste, explored its many uses and learned about its impact on the environment. They learn about simple, practical ways to reduce waste in their daily lives and play their part in caring for our planet.

Together, let's inspire our young environmental advocates to make sustainable choices—one small action at a time!

Our TGStars commemorated Racial Harmony Day, embracing this year’s theme, Our People, Our Tapestry, through a series of meaningful learning experiences.

From listening to stories shared by our parent volunteers and school staff, exploring cultural artefacts, enjoying traditional games and participating in RHD Bingo activities, our TGStars experienced the richness of Singapore’s multicultural community in authentic and engaging ways.

Through these experiences, our students learnt to respect, understand, accept and celebrate one another’s differences. They discovered that by learning about different cultures, building friendships across communities and appreciating diverse perspectives, we can weave a stronger, more inclusive community together.
