The School Year Is Over!

Today we celebrated the last day of the school year. Both students and staff have worked hard to make this a successful and memorable year, culminating in a wonderful end-of-year celebration.

Our Grade 9 students are now moving on, leaving us with excellent results after many of them have spent 10 years at VIGS. We are very proud of their achievements and wish them all the best in the future.

The rest of our students are warmly welcome back after the summer break, when the new school year begins on August 18.

Last Tuesday, year 5 and 6 students took part in the digital escape room The Mystery of the Suitcase, part of the Science Festival in Gothenburg.
To uncover missing words in a letter, they solved word puzzles and math riddles, programmed in Scratch, and carried out science experiments🧪👩‍🔬.
Everyone was fully engaged and had a fun, educational experience 🤩!

The Saint Lucia tradition makes the darkest day of the year a little brighter! Our grade 3 did an excellent job creating a great atmosphere with their singing and poems.

Last week we proudly celebrated 15 years as a school! We served a 15 m long cake baked by the teachers and students, enjoyed an inflatable obstacle course, got visited by the newspaper and much more. In the comments you will find a link to the newspaper article.

What a fantastic day we've had for the annual track and field day! 🌞🏃‍♂️

Students from grades 4 to 6 gave it their all in the beautiful weather, pushing through the heat with amazing effort and teamwork. It’s been a day full of energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship!

And of course, the highlight – the relay race! Huge congratulations to 6th grade for taking home the victory once again this year! 🏆👏

A big thank you to everyone who participated and cheered on their classmates – you all made the day unforgettable!

This week our amazing students in grade 4-9 have had a fantastic time skiing in Hanaslöv! 🌨️🎿 They’ve all enjoyed a day full of amusement, new challenges and lots of development. We are so proud of how the students supported each other and showed grit in their learning while having fun in the process. It’s at times like these we create long lasting memories and strengthen our sense of togetherness!

A Memorable Nobel Dinner with Our 9th Graders

Last night, our 9th grade students celebrated an unforgettable Nobel Dinner! The evening was filled with inspiring moments, a delicious three-course meal. The highlight of the event was the students' speeches, where they shared their thoughts and reflections.

We also had the privilege of honoring outstanding achievements in several subjects, with awards presented in Swedish, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and English. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of our students.
The evening concluded with a dance, making it a perfect celebration of both academic success and the bonds formed throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of all our 9th graders and the effort they put into making this event so special! ✨
