This time last week we were sitting around the fire in the chilly night air, stars overhead, a clear sky and smoke drifting across the landscape.

In collaboration with our friends and overlapping groups: VXO FARMLab, Resilience Garden researchers for Smaland Living Labs, Hampus Persson and our beautiful friends that volunteered organically as the need arose, Brande Udde saw it's first (of hopefully many) Burning Arts Festivals, where we sought to explore our collective history, and our becoming future(s).

With artistic installations and group exhibitions, we spent the evening harvesting our veg for a self-catered dinner cooked over an open fire. We had a very sweet return visit from Feminist Farmer OG Karen Cort Nielson and a massive hand in helping with a last minute change of food plans from Hampus Forss of Hjartenholms Cafe.

Today, Årets Ekokock Competition contestants came to visit and harvest their own ingredients.

Overseen by chef Erik Måneld from restaurang, the chefs started from the root of their foods lifecycle, ending the day with some truly magnificent creations.
