The whole curriculum is taught in English and after IB DP you will be able to continue your higher education anywhere in the world, as IB continues to gain respect from the world’s leading universities. The idea that permeates the IB programme is the pedagogical adage “Think Globally, work Locally” which means that the syllabus for all subjects carries a global perspective but is anchored in the local community. IB DP is governed by The International Baccalaureate Organization IBO, which is responsible for curriculum, subject syllabus, training of teachers, examination and grading. In Sweden, you study the Diploma Programme over the course of three years, of which the first is a preparatory year. During Year 1, you will study subjects that correspond to Swedish High School studies, and you will also be given an introduction to all the DP subjects in order for you to make educated disciplinary choices for Year 2 and 3.
