Airways Flygutbildning lägger ner verksamheten
Airways Flygutbildning har sedan 1988 bedrivit flygutbildning i Stockholm och Västerås.
De senaste årens oroligheter i omvärlden med pandemi och krig har drabbat flygbranschen hårt och har för Airways del lett till minskat elevunderlag och efterfrågan. Ökade kostnader överlag, inte minst på bränsle, samt höga kostnader för baseringen i Västerås har påverkat oss negativt.
Vi har därför efter nogsamt övervägande fattat beslut om att det inte längre är försvarbart att hålla verksamheten igång i sin nuvarande form och kommer under april att upphöra med de utbildningar vi tidigare erbjudit.
Airways kommer även fortsättningsvis att kunna erbjuda Proficiency Check (PC Single Enginge, Multi Engine och IR) samt viss färdighetsträning.
Skulle omvärldsläget förändras och efterfrågan öka de närmsta åren så stänger vi inte dörren helt för en omstart, men det får tiden utvisa.
Vi vill rikta vårt varmaste tack och uppskattning till alla de elever och kunder som valt Airways och passerat skolan under de 35 år som vi varit igång. Ni har varit med och format skolan och utan er hade det inte blivit nånting!
Vill också rikta ett stort tack till alla instruktörer som vi har haft glädjen att arbeta med genom åren, ni har alla gjort ert för att föra andan och er kunskap vidare!

Airways Flygutbildning shuts down operations
Airways Flygutbildning has been conducting flight training in Stockholm and Västerås since 1988.
The last few years' the situation in the world with pandemic and war has hit the airline industry hard and, for Airways, has led to a reduction in student numbers and demand. Increased costs overall, not least for fuel, as well as high costs for the base in Västerås have affected us negatively.
We have therefore, after considerable consideration, decided that it is no longer justifiable to keep the business running in its current form and will cease the training courses we previously offered during April 2023.
Airways will continue to be able to offer Proficiency Check (PC Single Engine, Multi Engine and IR) as well as some skills training.
Should the global situation change and demand increase in the next few years, we do not completely close the door to a restart, but only time will tell.
We would like to express our warmest thanks and appreciation to all the students and customers who have chosen Airways and passed the school during the 35 years that we have been in business. You have all helped shape the school and without you nothing would have happened!
Also want to say a big thank you to all the instructors we've had the pleasure of working with over the years, you've all done your part to pass on the spirit and your great knowledge!
